The World’s Fastest Fords Invade Ohio!

The 15th Annual NMRA SuperNationals being held at National Trail Raceway in Columbus, Ohio is the fourth race of the 2018 NMRA Ford Nationals series, and marks the beginning of the second half of this season.

From the screaming VP Racing Fuels Street Outlaw class to the always-explosive Edelbrock Renegade and ProCharger Coyote Modified cars, this race is shaping up to be one of the highlights of the 2018 NMRA Keystone Automotive Series season.

A look at the top three classes points, reveals it is still anyone’s game to win this year’s title, but frontrunners are emerging. In VP Racing Fuels Street Outlaw, Manny Buginga, Shawn Ayers and Andy Manson all have won one of the first three events, but Manson has been in each final. In Edelbrock Renegade there have also been three different winners in the first three races as Bart Tobener, Frank Varela and Tony Hobson have each visited the Aerospace Components Winner’s Circle, with Varela being the only one of the trio to make it to two final rounds.

Thus far in 2018 Haley James has led the pace in ProCharger Coyote Modified with two wins while Daniel Pachar has the other win and John Kauderer has made it to two finals. This race at National Trail is pivotal for all these racers, and could turn out to be the make or break event of the season, which is why coming to Ohio with an “A-game” is paramount.

Off the track, check out the UPR car show where you will see some of the finest examples of stock and custom rides from around the Midwest. When done checking out the heavy metal, stop by the Manufacturers’ Midway for some in-person support or visit the swap meet to find something new or unique for your ride.

On the track, off the track, the NMRA Ford SuperNationals is a “must see” if you’re anywhere near Central Ohio June 7-10.
