The Pro Modified Racing Association Countdown to the 2014 Championship

Bruce Boland – Second Place

CAYUGA, ON – Vying for his fourth championship in Pro Modified Racing Association competition, Bruce Boland had to settle for second place Bruce Boland - Grand Bendby the smallest of margins for the 2014 Championship Point Award Series.

Boland, of Stoney Creek, Ontario, finished only three points behind champion Jeff Roth of New Dundee, Ontario this year. Driving the B&B Racing 1968 Pontiac Firebird-bodied Pro Modified, Boland led the points most of the year, starting with a win in the season opener at the Grand Bend Motorplex.

Although that was his best finish, he did take a pair of runner-ups in 2014, and was always a threat. His car is capable of quarter-mile times under six seconds with speeds of 235 mph.

Sitting in the Vanishing Point Race Cars chassis is a 526-cubic inch ERD Supercharged Hemi, fueled by a Fuel System: Waterman System with input from Jon Salemi, and a Chuck Ford Hammer – Roots Supercharger. A Lenco three-speed transmission sits behind the engine.

The team’s crew consists of Brad Short, Roger Jongerden, Tim Hoffman and Robbie Cesario.

Sponsorship is provided by Backwoods Excavating & Float Service, Excel Motorsports, Pro Racing Fuels, NGK Spark Plugs, A&A Auto Parts, Double D Construction and Leggat Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC.
