Tempests, Trans Ams & More to Be at Pontiac Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park
The event considered to be the largest of its kind in the country will offer bracket and heads-up racing as well as a car show, swap-meet, manufacturers’ midway and opportunities to buy or sell Pontiacs. Fans will see cars that have been at the event before as well as cars that have not.
Nostalgia Super Stockers will be in the spotlight, and popular Pontiac racer Arnie “The Farmer” Beswick, who has piloted plenty of Super Stockers and Funny Cars through the years, including his 1964 GTO nicknamed the Tameless Tiger, will talk with fans and sign autographs.
The Ames Performance Buffet will be offered for race, show and swap-meet participants on Saturday, with a variety of other food available for purchase throughout the weekend, including a pound of Velvet ice cream for $1.
Gates open at 8 a.m. each day. Adult admission costs $15 on Friday and Sunday, $20 on Saturday, $40 for three days, $30 for Saturday and Sunday and $5 for children age 6-12. Admission is free for children age 5 and younger.
