Team Aruba Visits Historic Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis for PDRA Mid-America Showdown

INDIANAPOLIS, IN – The Professional Drag Racers Association has reached the halfway point in its fourth season. For the Extreme Pro Stock team from Aruba, it’s been a successful season thus far. This class itself has grown as it has found solidarity with the series and Trevor Eman and Team Aruba currently sit second in championship points standings.

The fifth stop on the 2017 tour is highly anticipated as it’s been held at one of the most historic drag racing facilities around the world. Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis is home to the legendary NHRA U.S. Nationals, and has been the site of celebrated moments for centuries. Now, Team Aruba is hoping to create unforgettable memories of their own in Indianapolis.

“We are looking forward at participating at this venue as it is a very historic drag racing facility,” Eman emphasized. “There’s something truly special about racing on a track that has been home to events that are forever etched in drag racing.

“We are going to spend the testing today (Thursday) in preparation for qualifying tomorrow,” he added. “Being summertime now we can most likely expect hot temperatures which we have to make sure we have a good setup for. Hopefully we get some good runs in today to set us up for some good qualifying and elimination runs. It would be incredible to pull off a win here at Indy. Plus, we’re in a great position in points and we want to continue making our bid for the 2017 Extreme Pro Stock Championship.”

Qualifying begins tomorrow and will be completed on Saturday. Eliminations for the Mid-America Showdown will begin Saturday afternoon. All the action is streamed live at www.SpeedVideo.com.
