Summit Motorsports Park New Home of NHRA Summit Racing Series North Central Division ET Bracket Finals

Norwalk, OH – As one of the most popular and prestigious tracks in the country, Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio, is now the new home of the NHRA Summit Racing Series North Central Division ET Bracket Finals.

The renowned race had been held at Lucas Oil Raceway in Indiana every year, and will begin its run at America’s Racetrack Sept. 16-20, 2020.

In addition to competing for a coveted NHRA Division 3 championship on the storied strip, racers will be competing for a chance to chase a world championship at the Auto Club NHRA Finals at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, California.

“This is an opportunity to bring the best of the North Central Division and the Summit Racing Series to Summit Racing’s backyard, as it’s located so close to Summit Motorsports Park,” said William Tharpe, director of the NHRA North Central Division. “In addition to that, it’s an opportunity to create a new experience for the ET Bracket Finals and for everybody. Sometimes, to grow, you have to venture out of your comfort zone, and Summit Motorsports Park, which is reputed for its customer service, is a good place for us to do that.”

To Summit Motorsports Park president Bill Bader Jr., Summit Motorsports Park being home to the NHRA Summit Racing Series North Central Division ET Bracket Finals means as much as being home to the Summit Racing NHRA Nationals, and racers and race fans can expect the event known for its close competition and even closer camaraderie to be taken to the next level.

“It is indeed a privilege to be the new home of the NHRA Summit Racing Series North Central Division ET Bracket Finals,” said Bader Jr. “Indy has been the host facility for many years, and to say expectations are high is an understatement. Our entire team has embraced this opportunity and will be ready to roll out the red carpet and deliver the Norwalk Experience come September 2020.”

The event is sure to be a highly-anticipated addition to an action-packed season at Summit Motorsports Park, which is located on more than 400 acres, welcomes more than 500,000 fans each year for sportsman and professional drag racing and is close to restaurants, stores, hotels and waterparks. It also has been named Track of the Year nineteen times by the NHRA, NMCA and IHRA, and is home of the annual Kelly Night Under Fire and Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals.
