PSCA All Revved Up To Start 13th Season!!

Las Vegas, NV – Feb 18th weekend in Las Vegas marks the start of the Pacific Street Car Association’s 13th season with the Ford Racing “Record Breaker Nationals”. The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway hosts this event along with their Annual Pro Stock Showdown and NHRA Winter Warm-ups. There’s no where else to witness this much hard-core racing action for a mere $20 per-day spectator admission price!!

PSCA’s quickest and fastest class, Hughes Performance Pro Street is expected to have a full 16-car field including 2010 Points Champion Clint Hairston with his record setting twin turbo Kenny Duttweiler tuned GTO. This will be the Hairston’s only PSCA appearance in 2011, as crew chief Jake took a position with “Jegs” and the car will follow him to Ohio.

They plan to defend the huge #1 on the window in Vegas then hit the NMCA events this spring. We all wish them continued success and look forward to their return to Vegas at the big end-of-the-year East vs. West Shootout “Street Car Super Nationals VII” Nov 17-20, 2011. That means there will be a new champion crowned in 2011!!

This years top dawgs include Pro Mod legend John Scialpi and the Woppado ’57 Chevy, Mike Maggio with his Chris Duncan Race Cars 70.5 Camaro tuned by Kirk Kuhns, SCSN VI runner-up Giuseppe Gentile has been fine-tuning his twin turbo big block Hemi Ford Mustang and has the confidence and power to become the champ,  2-time PSCA Champion Randy Walker is loaded for bear and ready to get back on top with his nitrous assisted mountain motor El Camino and this year we’ll see the return of Ed “Plasticman” Thornton as his “Drive for Five Tour” officially begins.

Ed is already a 4-time PSCA Pro Street Champion!! John Mihovetz, Mike Bowman, Tony Marino, Shawn Jones, Mark Meadors, Kelly Bluebaugh, Jay Syvertson, Monty Berney, Dan Nicholson and several mystery teams will make PSCA Pro Street the largest, quickest & fastest street car series class in the country!!

The PSCA will be also debuting its newest class; Calvert Racing “Street Muscle” A Dial-In class designed for “Door-Slammers” with no “Bracket Racing Electronics” Street Muscle will compete for a cash purse, trophy and a very lucrative Contingency Program as well. With 14 classes, the PSCA has a class for just about every motorized vehicle to compete in.

If you’re not into racing, the PSCA also offers the Lucas Oil Car Show Series at all 2011 events!! Bring out your Hot Rod, Street Rod, Show Car or work in progress and join in on all the fun and hang out with a bunch of great people!!  Spectator Gates open at 9am on both Saturday, Feb 19th & Sunday, Feb 20th. With racing and Car Show from 9am – 5pm
