Carpenter Sporting New Paint
Petersburg, VA – We’d seen the t-shirt renderings of the new paint on Charles Carpenter’s car, however it did not do it justice. The car is immaculate and as straight as an arrow. “We are very happy with how the car turned out,” stated Carpenter, “especially with what they had to start with!” There has been a resurgence of the team, car and their performance over the last 2 events. The new paint puts an exclamation point on the team’s hunt for an ADRL Pro Nitrous win.
Team Aruba Races to MMPSA Mountain Motor Nationals; Gearing Up For ADRL U.S. Drags

UNION, SOUH CAROLINA (May 20, 2010) — With a long desired break in the rainy weather, Team Aruba finally enjoyed a full event at the Mountain Motor Pro Stock Association (MMPSA) Mountain Motor Nationals at Maryland
International Raceway (MIR) in Budds Creek, Maryland. “It was great to finally get in a full day of racing!” says Trevor Eman, team driver for Team Aruba.
Team Aruba’s hard work paid off at MIR, and facing challenging opponents like Dean Goforth and Pete Berner fueled the competitive spirit of the team. Team Aruba maintained top speeds around 220mph, with an impressive 0.008 RT in the first round of eliminations against Dean Goforth. Eman squared off against Summit’s Pete Berner in the second eliminations round, where the team reached an event top speed of 221.45mph, but even with Eman’s quicker RT of 0.074, Berner earned a faster elapsed time, gaining the Summit team a 2nd round eliminations victory. “We were happy to get as far as we did,” Eman comments, “but we know we can do better. We’re looking very forward to improving our performance at the upcoming ADRL U.S. Drags in Virginia.”
‘Fight Me’ Signs On as Major Sponsor for ADRL’s Hernandez
O’FALLON, MO — The recently formed Fight Me MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) league was introduced today as the new major, multi-year sponsor of American Drag Racing League (ADRL) competitor Joshua Hernandez and his
supercharged Pro Extreme 1957 Chevy.
Hernandez, last year’s championship runner-up and winningest driver in Pro Extreme history with six career race titles, will debut his new Fight Me look in this weekend’s ADRL Speedtech U.S. Drags III at Virginia Motorsports Park.
“It is so exciting for me to help introduce Fight Me to the ADRL audience,” the Conroe, Texas-based driver said. “I’m also looking forward to attending Fight Me events later this year and introducing the ADRL’s unique brand of eighth-mile drag racing to the millions of MMA fans around the world. Dixon, driver of the Al-Anabi Racing Top Fuel dragster, earned his fourth win of 2010 and the 52nd of his career at the Summit Racing Equipment Southern Nationals in Atlanta. Reigning world champion Hight, in his AAA Insurance Ford Mustang, won for the second straight event beating John Force Racing teammate Ashley Force Hood in the Funny Car finals.
Dave Earhart Hopes Consistency Pays off for 2010 PMRA season

STRATHROY, ONTARIO – Long-time Pro Modified Racing Association competitor Dave Earhart will once again be behind the wheel of his 2002 Camaro Pro Modified when the 2010 season kicks off May 21-23 for the Victoria Day
Weekend at Toronto Motorsports Park in Cayuga, Ontario.
“I’ve just finished putting the motor back together and bolting it in the car right now,” Earhart said from his Strathroy, Ontario shop. “We’re trying to add a few more tricks to the car for this year.”
The winner of the Sanair event during the 2007 PMRA season, Earhart’s Camaro is powered by a 526-cubic inch KB Olds, with a Kobelco 14-71 supercharger sitting on top. The Camaro sits on a double rail chassis updated by himself and crew chief Simon Couto, but behind the engine is a unique two-speed transmission based on a TH 400 from the shop of Hutch’s Transmission Service.
Lynja Motorsports Dragster Ready For Quick 32 Series Opener

NAPANEE, ONTARIO – Jamie Bridge said he expects some stiffer competition for this season’s Quick 32 Sportsman Series presented by NAPA Auto Parts tour.
The Napanee, Ontario driver was named the Series Sportsman of the Year, placed second in the Championship Point Award Series and believes the stakes will be raised for 2010.
“I think the level of competition and drivers will be much higher this year,” said the driver of the Lynja Motorsports Top Dragster. “I think it’s going to be a dogfight right to the end.”
Driving his 2008 Undercover Motorsports dragster, powered by a 565-cubic inch Engine Research & Development (ERD) engine, Bridge qualified for all six Quick 32 Sportsman Series events last year, highlighting his season with a runner-up spot in Top Dragster in June at the Grand Bend Motorplex.
Team Aeroquip Doubles Up with Runner Ups – Both Janis and Robertson in Finals

Commerce, GA – Team Aeroquip’s Mike Janis came up a hair short this weekend in NHRA Get Screened America Pro Modified competition at the 30th annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Southern Nationals. Janis who qualified 
number one with a 5.91 elapsed time at over 243 miles per hour used a little luck and some hard work to make his way to the finals.
Janis was the beneficiary of two red lights during competition, one from Brad Personett and another from Rick Stivers. Janis also defeated Troy Coughlin at the wheel of his Jeg’s backed Machine.
In the finals Janis faced off with Sweden’s Michael Gulvquist. Gulvquist was filling in for Raymond Commisso in his R2B2 ride. Commisso’ father passed ealier in the week and the entire Mike Janis Racing/ Aeroquip team sends their best to Commisso and his family.
Project Track Champion to Take Part in Upcoming Event at Cayuga Dragway
CAYUGA, ONTARIO – Along with a great weekend of drag racing during the Victoria Day Weekend May 21-23, the opening round in the Pro Modified Racing Association and Quick 32 Sportsman Series, those with disabilities will be 
given the chance to ride in a specially-prepared race car down the Cayuga Dragstrip.
Project Track Champion presented by Voices Unlimited and supported by Toronto Motorsports Park, the PMRA, the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and Powered by Pioneer is a unique vehicle which offers accessibility for persons with a disability to experience the thrills of a racing environment.
Through the organization of Voices Unlimited, a self-advocacy group aligned with Community Living Haldimand, the race car will provide rides throughout the weekend on the drag strip of Toronto Motorsports Park.

Off To Santa Pod With Trouble Racing Motorsports Pro Mod Corvette

At the end of this month of May I will again board a United Airlines flight and wing my way the opposite way ’round 
the world than I normally would go. I am off to The Main Event at Santa Pod Raceway outside of London. This will be a return for me to Santa Pod although I shall be in a different role this time. I will still be doing human interest writings for RPM Magazine, but I will also be in my element in the pits this time. Also I will be able to reacquaint myself with all my European friends I have made throughout my career.
Instead of just being a nosy tourist in amongst all the drag racers I will get to be a hands on worker bee person with the Trouble Racing Motorsports Pro Modified Corvette from Switzerland. Marcus Hilt has graciously offered me a chance to tweak some screws on his Mike Janis/JanCen hemi powered race car. Although Marcus will be at a VERY distinct disadvantage with the blower he will be running we both think it will give us a chance to work out a few other issues.
Team Aruba Heads to MIR for MMPSA Mountain Motor Nationals
UNION, SOUTH CAROLINA — Often referred to as the ‘home of Mountain Motor racers’, this weekend Maryland International Raceway (MIR) in Budds Creek, MD, will host the Mountain Motor Pro Stock Association (MMPSA) 
Outback Steakhouse Mountain Motor Nationals. One of the longest running Pro Stock events, the Mountain Motor Nationals will host Pro Stock and Pro Modifieds at their quarter mile track, promising heart pumping drag racing action with some of the country’s fastest drag cars.
“We just hit the road yesterday, after spending a few rainy days in Ohio,” said Team Aruba driver, Trevor Eman. “We’re now on our way to Budds Creek, and hopefully the weather will cooperate this time.” Team Aruba traveled to Martin, Michigan last week for the MMPSA NAPA Thunder Nationals, but an impending storm front led to a cancellation of the second MMPSA race. “Although the race in Martin was canceled, we were able to get in valuable testing sessions to prepare us for the Mountain Motor Nationals,” says Trevor.
