NMRA Kicks Off 2018 in Florida

The NMRA is kicking off the 2018 season at Bradenton Motorsports Park March 1-4. The 24th Annual Nitto Tire NMRA Spring Break Shootout presented by Steeda Autosports will be jammed with wall-to-wall action as the World’s Fastest Fords descend upon the Gulf Coast of Florida.

From the ear-piercing revs of turbo, supercharged and nitrous-fed Street Outlaws to the high-winding RPM coming from Ford’s Coyote engine, this kicks off the 20th Anniversary of the NMRA Keystone Automotive Ford Nationals.

While the end of this season is still months away, it’s this race which sets the pace of the rest of the year, so while shaking off the winter doldrums may be on some racers minds, there are also championship runs to be considered. Whoever ends up in the Aerospace Components Winners’ Circle on Sunday, will get that out-of-the-gate boost needed to chase this year’s class title.

Joining the NMRA regulars once again this season is a huge assortment of special events including the Ford Performance Cobra Jet Showdown presented by Watson Racing, Terminator Vs. GT500 Shootout, Hellion Turbo Coyote Shootout, JLT Performance Spring Break Shootout, ididit Outlaw True Street and the TREMEC Stick Shift Shootout. Add to that the QA1 True Street class, and you’re close to overdosing on Ford performance!

The weekend also features a huge UPR Products All-Ford Car Show, where hundreds of participants will show off their amazing late and early-model Mustangs & Fords. It’s one of the biggest all-Ford car shows of the year with some of the best Mustangs in the area with awards presented on both Saturday and Sunday. This event also includes one of the largest all-Ford manufacturers’ midways with representatives to answer all of your product questions and a swap meet with hundreds of hard-to-find used parts.
