Mike Janis Racing Teams With BDR Torque Converters for 2011

Elma, NY – Mike Janis Racing is happy to announce its partnership with BDR Torque Converters.

“We will be using BDR converters in both our ADRL and NHRA cars,” said Driver/Team Owner, Mike Janis. “With the recent progress made in torque convertor technology we felt it was time to make the switch. We have performed some preliminary testing and with what we learned we were able to approach Brian Doan of BDR Torque Converters.

Brian was able to use our data to put together a program that we feel shows promise. Brian is a very intelligent man and with his help we feel we can straighten out the learning curve”.

Doan will be attending select events with the team in order to minimize any learning curve. “I am looking forward to working with Mike Janis Racing in the 2011 season. I have known Mike for many years.

We even competed against each other in comp eliminator back in the late 70’s. He was a very tough competitor then and very successful competitor today.

Myself and the crew at BDR Torque Converters are excited to work with the Mike Janis Racing team! We are confident on getting that Jan Cen horsepower to the ground and winning many drag races.

The team is set to test both cars prior to the NHRA Gator Nationals in March.
