Mooresville, NC – Mike Janis, who competed on the ADRL tour in 2009, taking two wins, will return to ADRL Competition in 2011 at the wheel of an Andy McCoy Race Cars 1970 Plymouth Duster. The AMRC Duster will be propelled by the newly designed Alan Johnson Performance Engineering 5300 Hemi.

“Our association with AJPE has afforded us the opportunity to partner with several new people and companies. One such example is Andy McCoy of Andy McCoy Race Cars. Andy’s progressive ideas about chassis design will help us with this new venture. We will campaign the AMRC 70 Duster for the 2011 ADRL season utilizing many of Andy’s latest technologies,” said Crew Chief Mike Janis Jr.

Andy McCoy, owner of AMRC stated “We are very excited to work with such a talented group of guys. Mike Jr., with his tuning talents, and Big Mike’s resume as a driver make them a force to be reckoned with”. “This is a real honor for me to team up with Mike and his team. This opportunity will help others to see what we at AMRC can do. Myself and my guys are committed to help make this association a success.

Team Owner/Driver, Mike Janis explained that while the association with AJPE and AMRC was unexpected, it was something he couldn’t pass up. “Opportunities like this don’t come around often.  To be able to work with someone like Alan Johnson is an honor for myself and my team; add to that the opportunity to become involved with Andy McCoy and his forward thinking is a dream come true for any racer,” said Janis.

Janis will soon take delivery of his new ride and the team has plans for some testing in early March.
