Kalitta defeated Chris Karamesines and Clay Millican before falling to Tony Schumacher in the semi-finals. In the semis, Kalitta had the advantage at the starting line before hazing the tires around the 400-foot mark. He reached the 600-win milestone with his second-round victory over Millican.

“It was very cool to hit such a big number of round wins with this Mac Tools Toyota team,” relayed Kalitta.”I would have loved to take the win today, but it was not meant to be. We are running strong and I look forward to Topeka in a couple weeks.”

Brown defeated fellow Toyota driver Troy Coughlin Jr. in the first round with a 3.702-second pass to set up a quarter-final match-up with point leader Leah Pritchett.
