DELAWARE, OH – Preparations on the JEGS.com/Mopar Dodge Avenger are in high gear with the 2012 season and Jeg Coughlin Jr.’s ballyhooed return to the Pro Stock class just 30 days away.

As the team at JNR Racing Engines remains hard at work getting the JEGS.com/Mopar car’s powerplants to a championship caliber level, crew chief Tomi Lane and crewman Dave Yediny took the Avenger chassis to the Chrysler Technical Center in Michigan for some extended time in the wind tunnel.

“They ended up spending more than 12 hours in the wind tunnel, which is an incredible amount of time for us to gain data,” Coughlin said. “The guys made several “runs” and were extremely pleased with the results.

“A big tip of the hat to the CTC engineers, not only for giving us time in their wind tunnel but for their invaluable expertise and advise. They are really fired up to see this car win races and contend for the championship and that gets all of us on the race team excited.”

The next step will be to marry the engine and chassis together and take their data to the test track this month ahead of the NHRA Full Throttle Series season opener, the Feb. 9-12 NHRA Winternationals, at Auto Club Raceway in Pomona, Calif.
