LISTOWEL, ON – The Quick 32 Sportsman Series is pleased to announce the continued support of Ideal Supply and NAPA for the popular drag race series.

The auto parts, electrical components, and industrial automation company, which has provided major sponsorship to the Quick 32 Sportsman Series for the past three years, will offer the same support for the next two years.

“This is a great series and we are proud to be associated with the Quick 32 Sportsman Series,” said Tim MacDonald, President and Chief Executive Officer of Ideal Supply. “We’ve met some great people in the series, and it’s a great community of people.”

Providing support for the Quick 32 Sportsman Series in drag racing is a main part of Ideal’s philosophy of giving back to the community. It has a long history of community involvement, providing contributions and initiatives to such organizations as the Stratford General Hospital, the Listowel Memorial Hospital, the Goderich Recreational Center, and the Stratford and Perth County Community Foundation. It also is a supporter of the Stratford Shakespeare Festival, and the Blyth and Drayton Festivals.

“We are extremely grateful and pleased to Ideal Supply and NAPA for its continued involvement in the Quick 32 Sportsman Series,” said series Director of Operations Bruce Mehlenbacher. “They have been with us since this series began, and have shown their faith in us with their commitment of another two years.”

The Quick 32 Sportsman Series began in 2009 as a structured and regular venue for Sportsman racers to race in an organized environment. The series is comprised of Top Dragster racers and Top Sportsman racers who compete within their own division, and the top eliminator in each side then races in a final round to declare an event champion.

“We have been pleasantly surprised in the level of competition,” said MacDonald. “This is an easy series to believe in, and provides a very sportsmanlike atmosphere to race in.”

The Quick 32 Sportsman Series, www.Quick32.ca will race six times in 2012, highlighted with the popular Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals presented by Ideal Supply & NAPA Auto Parts August 10-12 at the Grand Bend Motorplex. The series also competes several times with its two companion series, the Pro Modified Racing Association, www.PMRA.ca and the Pro Bike & Sled Series, www.PBSS.ca offering a solid and full package of drag racing action.

The racing gets under way this season with the Victoria Day Weekend Challenge May 18-20 at the Cayuga Dragway of Toronto Motorsports Park.
