Jeff Sobczynski Dominates and Wins TNT Super Series at Empire

First win in the TNTSS for seasoned racer!

LEICESTER, NY –  Finally in the sixth attempt of 2017, the Joe’s Transmission TNT Super Series was able to run a race to completion without weather being a factor.  Jeff Sobczynski from East Aurora, New York got the win from the pole on Saturday at Empire Dragway while Friday’s race at Lancaster was shortened due to rain and curfew after second round.   Presented by TG Fab Racecars, this weekend’s events were jammed with extremely close races.

Sobczynski rolled out of the trailer and made it look easy, posting a 10.903 on the board to take the $100 Hoosier Tire Canada #1 Qualifier Award.  In round one, he took out Billy Leber who went .012 red, Sobczynski running it out to be dead zero just for good measure.

Then he pushed Ryan Boniferro under the index with a .008 advantage off the line.   Third round he was .018 to Tyler Halleen’s .046 and that moved him into the semi’s where he had a bye to the final.
