DAY 1 OF THE MILLION RAINED OUT

Montgomery, AL – By the time parking was complete on Wednesday night in preparation for Thursday’s opening Triple 20s event which bookend the Million Dollar race held on Saturday, it appeared the pits weren’t going to hold many more rigs. And on Thursday morning when tech cards were sold, close to 400 races cars were set to take on the Montgomery Motorsports Park eighth-mile for the opening day of the C.A.R.S. Protection Plus Million Dollar Race.

Unfortunately, Mother Nature had other plans. After morning and early afternoon showers, track drying began at 2:00 but by 3:00 the wet stuff fell again, albeit a short one.

Due to the lateness of the day, Thursday’s event has been scrubbed completely. On Friday morning, every entry will receive one time trial followed immediately by eliminations. Friday’s $20K to win race will be doubled, effectively making it $40,000 to win with all other round money also doubled.

Be sure to tune in the rest of the weekend and watch the action live on www.TheMillionOnline.com.
