Team Arana ready to start the season anew!
Lucas Oil’s Hector Arana Jr. has ‘big expectations’ for 2016 season
GAINESVILLE, FL – The wait has been long and trying for Lucas Oil Buell rider Hector Arana Jr., but the Pro Stock Motorcycle star doesn’t have to wait in the cold and snow of his home state of New York any longer because the season-opening NHRA Gatornationals are slated for this weekend at Gainesville Raceway.
“I’m very excited, ecstatic,” Arana said. “I love racing, and now I don’t have to sit at home in the cold and wait for the season to come.”
Aruba Airport Excited to Partner with Team Aruba Racing
ORANJESTAD, Aruba – Few drag racing teams truly fit the description of international racers. Only select number of teams compete professionally on an international level, and of those that do, few follow an entire circuit, competing for World Championships. The fact that the Pro Stock team from Aruba has done so for 13 years puts Team Aruba Drag Racing in a league all their own. Once more, Team Aruba is stepping up their game, this time by partnering with Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (www.airportaruba.com).
Aruba Airport Authority N.V. (AAA) is the sole international airport for the ‘One Happy Island’ and is, therefore the first impression international travelers and vacationers receive of Aruba. The airport has often been commended for their welcoming efforts, winning the Highly Commended for Excellence in Airport Marketing Award in February of 2015 and then in December it received an additional award for modeling airport safety promotion throughout the world.
Team Aruba Ready for IHRA Nitro Jam Northern Nationals
Martin, MI – Team Aruba has picked back up with the 2015 IHRA Nitro Jam tour as it heads to US 131 Motorsports Park for the Northern Nationals. Trevor Eman has already taken the Aruba.com Pro Stock Mustang down the quarter-mile during Thursday testing and made four good passes. Qualifying begins tonight.
“It’s great to be back at US 131 Motorsports Park,” stated Eman. “This is one of our favorite race tracks in the country. It’s a very clean and organized facility. Jason [Peterson, General Manager] and his crew do a great job of having this track look amazing always. Being able to race at such a prestigious facility really makes our race car look good on pictures, websites and magazines.”
Team Aruba Feels Right at Home with IHRA
PORT ALLEN, LA – March 18, 2015: After a long off season, Team Aruba was anxious to get back on the track and tackle the 1320 feet of an IHRA Nitro Jam racing surface. State Capitol Raceway in Port Allen, La. played host to the IHRA Mardi Gras Nationals this past weekend and was the stage for Team Aruba’s return to the restructured and renewed racing organization.
“It was great to personally meet all the new members of the IHRA ownership and staff,” told Trevor Eman, pilot of the Aruba.com Mustang. “We could not feel more welcome in a racing sanctioning body than we did from them. The race was really fantastic all around. It was great to be back with the IHRA.”
Team Arana Ready to Make a Move in the Chase for PSM Title
Arana Sr. will put the hammer down in preparation for Reading
READING, PA – Despite a second-round appearance and solid overall showing this past weekend, Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Hector Arana Sr. will have more work on his hands than he originally expected before heading to Maple Grove Raceway for the NHRA Nationals.
Continuing to get his Lucas Oil Buell on the right track, Arana was hoping to spend an extra day at Gateway Motorsports Park to put in valuable track time. However, with his oldest son Hector Jr.’s engine giving out early in the St. Louis eliminations, Arana must now turn his focus towards building a replacement in their race shop at home.
“I was really hoping to test Monday in St. Louis,” Arana said. “We really needed the extra time on the track to figure out what the problem is before we went home.
