Holley/Hilborn EFI Dragster to Display at 2011 PRI Show

Canton, GA – In conjunction with Holley Performance Productsand Hilborn Fuel Injection, Trevor Wiggins’ EFI Super 
Comp dragster will be featured at the Performance Racing Industry (PRI) Show, Dec. 1-3 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.
Earlier this year, Wiggins created quite a buzz in drag racing when he converted his 602-Steve Schmidt engine to electronic fuel injection (EFI), thanks to support from Holley Performance Products and Hilborn Fuel Injection.
“It’s an honor to be a part of the PRI Show with Holley Performance Products and Hilborn Fuel Injection – two great companies synonymous with fuel injection,” Wiggins comments.
Final Results from Gainesville Raceway LODRS Event
Gainesville, FL – Sunday was picture perfect weather for the final day at the Gainesville LODRS event. Over 434 cars would start eliminations in round 1. Flawless runs from all teams made for a quick day. The race ran without incident after seeing several oil downs and a Top Alcohol Dragster tire explosion that lead to a day of frustration for the teams and track crew.

Davis Dominates Snowbirds to Double-Up at End of Season

SUWANEE, GA — The year could not have ended any better for Ronnie “The King” Davis. The Suwanee, Georgia-
based golf cart dealer won the last two races he entered in 2010, each time starting from the number-one qualifying position and each time in a different Tommy Mauney-built ’63 Corvette.
Davis mounted a charge in October to win the final NHRA Division II points race of the season at Silver Dollar Raceway in Reynolds, Georgia, capping a thrilling come-from-behind campaign that secured his second NHRA Top Sportsman divisional championship by just a single point. Then, Davis earned the Automatic Pro Mod win in dominating fashion Dec. 3-5, at the prestigious and historic Snowbird Nationals at Bradenton Motorsports Park in south Florida.
‘Little Guy’ Vial Embarking on Mid-East Adventure

GLOUCESTER, VA — Ellis Vial, a self-described “little guy” from Gloucester, Virginia, is ready for the fight of his life as he prepares for a Nov. 22 departure to Doha, Qatar, where he and his supercharged and nitrous-injected 1968 
Firebird will take on some of the very best eighth-mile drag racers in the world in the 2010-11 Arabian Drag Racing League season.
As a part-time participant in the affiliated American Drag Racing League’s (ADRL’s) top-level Pro Extreme class, Vial is no stranger to the competition, having recorded a career-best 3.85-second run at 199.97 mph earlier this year at Norwalk, Ohio. The records for the class, however, are 3.59 seconds and 211.69 mph, belonging respectively to reigning ADRL Pro Extreme world champion Frankie Taylor and his teammate Wes Johnston, both of whom will be in Qatar, too.
They will be joined by the likes of last year’s champ, Todd Tutterow, this year’s runner-up to Taylor, Joshua Hernandez, former NHRA Top Fuel pilot J.R. Todd and the benefactor to both ADRLs, Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad Al-Thani (KH), the defending Arabian series champion and a race winner in the Stateside series.
Virginia’s OTG Racing Celebrates Being World’s Fastest

MOSELEY, VA – When Chris Patrick covered the eighth mile in 3.93 seconds at 189.76 miles per hour last month at the Texas Motorplex, near Dallas, OTG Racing owner Brian Shaw pumped his fist in celebration because it meant his
car had just become the quickest and fastest nitrous-oxide-boosted 1941 Willys on the planet.
“It may have only qualified us 14th, but just qualifying felt like a victory itself,” Shaw said from his Moseley, Virginia, race shop, referring to the 16-car Pro Nitrous field for the American Drag Racing League’s (ADRL’s) World Finals. “I mean, we’re out there racing against a bunch of super-slick Camaros and Corvettes, so just to get a big, old body like the Willys going that fast feels pretty good.”
Shaw credits Pat Bennett Race Cars in Amherst, Virginia, and Fulton Race Engines from Spartanburg, South Carolina, for providing the chassis and 833-cubic-inch powerplant it takes to run competitively at drag racing’s highest level. But he stresses it was a team effort that delivered the record run.
Nitrous Express Releases Mustang “Coyote” Plate System

Wichita Falls, TX – The Nitrous Express 5.0 Coyote Plate System feature’s Phase 3 Spraybarless technology for the ultimate in atomization and distribution. The billet plate bolts between the throttle body and intake making
installation quick and easy.
The solenoids are integrated into the plate for a super clean look. A direct-plug-in Fuel Line Adapter is provided to simplify installation (no need to cut your factory fuel lines). This system includes a TPS Autolearn switch so the nitrous only activates at wide open throttle and automatically turns off when you let your foot off the accelerator. The system includes jetting for 35, 50, 75, 100, 125 and 150 horsepower and can produce up to 250 horsepower with additional jets.
The systems include extra long stainless braided N2O line, master arming switch, relay, relay harness and all necessary hardware to complete the installation. Systems with bottles include the new billet aluminum Lightning 45 bottle valve and stainless bottle brackets. Fits 2011 Ford GT Mustangs with the 5.0L 4 valve coyote engine.
King’ Crowned in NHRA Top Sportsman Championship

‘SUWANEE, GA – Anything less than victory would have meant failure. At least that’s how Ronnie “The King” Davis felt entering the final NHRA Division II Top Sportsman race of the year Oct. 15-17, at Silver Dollar Raceway in
Reynolds, Georgia.
“We had to win the race at Silver Dollar to win the championship,” Davis said. “And we did.”
The Suwanee, Georgia-based golf cart dealer entered the event third, trailing only Jeff Pittman and points leader Billy Vaughn. His race got off to a great start, as Davis qualified his nitrous-oxide-injected 1963 Corvette in first place with a 6.53-seconds pass at 215.13 mph over the Silver Dollar quarter mile.
After 21 cars entered for a 32-car field, Davis enjoyed a free pass in round one, with Vaughn and Pittman also advancing, but a loss for Vaughn in round two left him with 304 points for the year. Pittman fell next in round three, stranding him at 295 points, while Davis still had two more rounds to go in order to earn his second NHRA Div. II Top Sportsman championship.
