Flamholc to Return to PDRA Action in Pro Extreme in 2015

PITTSBORO, NC – Few racing enthusiasts are able to make it to the professional level of drag racing. Fewer still are successful. The select group Adam Flamholcwho rise to international prominence, dwindles to only a handful. Among that handful is PDRA racer Adam Flamholc. Over the last several years Flamholc, a native of Sweden, has become a fixture in professional eighth mile drag racing in the US and abroad. In 2014 he competed at select events with the PDRA, managing a 16th place finish in overall Pro Boost points with just three appearances.

When not following the PDRA tour here in the US, Flamholc and team were busy chasing the European Drag Racing Series Championship in Europe. Flamholc fielded a Pro Extreme car with the SRIF and took home top honors in his class, winning the SRIF Championship.

PDRA Gets Ready to Celebrate at the PRI Show

PITTSBORO, NC – The 27th annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, held December 11-13 in Indianapolis, Ind. will be a milestone for PDRA Tommy Franklinthe Professional Drag Racers Association. Not even quite a year old, the budding organization has already accomplished a successful inaugural season, developed a top-notch schedule for 2015 and has earned the respect of racers, fans, and sponsors alike. Now, it’s time to celebrate with the PDRA’s first ever awards banquet, to be held in conjunction with the PRI Show.

The banquet will honor the 2014 PDRA Champions and the combined efforts of all who made this season a success. It will be held at the JW Marriott, on the premises of the Indiana Convention Center on Saturday, December 13th, from 7pm to midnight. All Nine Classes Return to PDRA in 2015

PITTSBORO, NC – The Professional Drag Racers Association is hard at work planning the 2015 season. Although it will be tough to top their PDRA logoinaugural season, the owners and staff feel confident that 2015 will be even bigger and better than this year. The nine classes that began the PDRA series will also carry them into their sophomore season. Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, Pro Boost, Extreme Pro Motorcycle, Extreme Pro Stock, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster, Pro Junior Dragster and Top Junior Dragster will be contested at all ten 2015 events.

“We had a great turn out of racers for our inaugural year,” stated Bob Harris on behalf of the PDRA owners and staff. “All classes are a big asset to the PDRA and we look forward to welcoming everyone back in 2015. Harris, Snider, DiSomma, Penland and McKinney Win PDRA Finale in Virginia

PETERSBURG, VA – Rising Pro Nitrous star Jason Harris completed an almost perfect campaign Oct. 13, by going to his eighth final round in Harris vs Rini, PN Finalas many events this year and winning his sixth race to cap off a championship-winning run in the all-eighth-mile Professional Drag Racers Association’s (PDRA’s) inaugural season.

Also scoring pro class victories in the rain-delayed PDRA Championship Finals at Virginia Motorsports Park (VMP), were Brandon Snider in Pro Extreme, Anthony DiSomma in Pro Boost, Richard Penland in Extreme Pro Stock and Eric McKinney in Pro Extreme Motorcycle. Sportsman class winners included John Lassiter in Top Sportsman, Alan O’Brien in Top Dragster, Isaac Evans in Pro Jr. Dragster and Caleb Russell in Top Jr. Dragster.

PDRA Finally Completes Rain-Delayed Dragstock Event at Richmond

PETERSBURG, VA – It took five weeks, four rain delays and racing at two tracks in neighboring states, but the all-eighth-mile Professional PDRA Tommy FranklinDrag Racers Association (PDRA) finally crowned winners of its postponed Dragstock event from North Carolina’s Rockingham Dragway Oct. 12, at Virginia Motorsports Park (VMP), near Richmond.

When heavy rain interrupted race day at Rockingham early in September the decision was made to finish its eliminations within qualifying for the inaugural PDRA Championship Finals in Virginia. Unfortunately, light but steady rain also intervened at VMP on Friday night after just one round of qualifying and returned to prevent any on-track action at all on Saturday before again delaying proceedings Sunday morning.

PDRA Expands its Show for Dragstock at Rockingham

PITTSBORO, NC – “The Rock” is ready to roll with the sound of supercharged thunder Sep. 5-7, as the all-eighth-mile Professional PDRA South East GassersDrag Racers Association (PDRA) returns for Dragstock XI, its second event this year at North Carolina’s historic Rockingham Dragway.

Headlined by the NAS Racing Pro Extreme and Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous classes, the seventh of eight scheduled events in the PDRA’s inaugural season will also feature its all-new Pro Boost division presented by Precision Turbo and Proline Racing Engines, along with Aruba Extreme Pro Stock, Pro Extreme Motorcycle, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster and two Jr. Dragster classes.

Additionally, for the first time the PDRA will stage a 16-car Mac-Fab Pro 275/28 Shootout for so-called “small-tire” racers, as well as host a special appearance by several members of the Southeast Gassers Association featuring period-correct race cars from the 1950s and ‘60s.

Richmond Race may Rearrange PDRA Points Chase this Weekend

PITTSBORO, NC – With four races left in its inaugural eight-race season, the all-eighth-mile Professional Drag Racers Association Tommy Franklin(PDRA) heads to Virginia Motorsports Park, near Richmond, this weekend (July 24-26), for the NAS Racing PDRA U.S. Drags. With 100 points available for each round win, each event continues to take on significance.

After winning all four previous events this year, though, it probably won’t concern Jason Harris, who has a stranglehold on the Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous lead. At 2,211 points, the Pittsboro, NC-based racer has nearly double the points of his closest rival, Tommy Franklin (1,150), who is closely followed by Pat Stoken, class rookie Lizzy Musi and Tim Savell.

MUSI MUSCLE OVERPOWERS PDRA IN MARTIN, BUILDS ON REMARKABLE SEASON

MOORESVILLE, NC – As the 2014 racing season wears on racers using Pat Musi Racing Engines have continued to establish PDRA - Martin - Jason Harristhemselves as the dominant forces in their respective categories, led by Jason Harris and his four consecutive Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) Pro Nitrous wins.

Harris extended his undefeated season June 28 by capturing the inaugural PDRA Summer Drags title at US 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, MI. In the PDRA’s brief history, no one except Harris has left an event with a Pro Nitrous trophy.

“It’s unreal; we’ve had a fantastic season. Everything has worked so well ever since we unloaded for the first time at Rockingham (NC),” Harris said. The latest Pat Musi Racing Engines 903 EFI engine sits between the framerails of his ’68 Pontiac Firebird “Warbird” built by Robert Hayes Race Cars. The combination has been lethal for Harris’ Pro Nitrous opponents, enabling the car to click off eighth-mile runs in the 3.70-second range at 200 MPH seemingly at will.

Harris Hoping to Keep Win Streak Alive as PDRA Hits Halfway Point in Michigan

PITTSBORO, NC – When the Professional Drag Racers Association (PDRA) arrives at U.S. 131 Motorsports Park in Martin, MI, this Jason Harris - PDRAweekend (June 27-28), it will reach the halfway point of its inaugural eight-race season and Switzer Dynamics Pro Nitrous competitor Jason Harris will be attempting to keep his perfect record intact.

After winning the season opener from the number-one starting position in April at Rockingham, NC, Harris duplicated both efforts a month later in Valdosta, GA. He slipped a little with a third-place start at Memphis late in May, but the final result remained the same with Harris taking the trophy home. Still, the Pittsboro, NC-based racer isn’t taking his early season success for granted.
