Boosted GT Joins Memphis Drags
Injured Daddy Dave won’t race, will still greet fans at PDRA event
MILLINGTON, TN – When the Professional Drag Racing Association rolls up to Memphis International Raceway 
(MIR) on August 20-22 for the Memphis Drags, it will be bringing an extra star of the show “Street Outlaws” with it.
The driver Boosted and his yellow Mustang will now race fellow “Street Outlaws” star Chuck three times during Saturday night’s racing.
Boosted GT will take the place of Daddy Dave in the match race scheduled at the PDRA Memphis Drags.
Daddy Dave was originally scheduled for the match race with Chuck, but Dave suffered injuries and significantly damaged his car at an exhibition earlier in the month. Dave is now on the mend and still plans to be at the Memphis Drags to meet with fans and sign autographs.
Derrick Beach Named PDRA Senior Vice President of Marketing
PITTSBORO, NC – Derrick Beach, a beloved PDRA and NHRA announcer, has just stepped up in his role with the 
PDRA, taking a position as Senior Vice President of Marketing. Beach joined the PDRA as a commentator for the 2015 season, working alongside veteran announcer Brian Olsen. It quickly became evident that Beach was not being used to the fullness of his potential. The Ohio native is working toward a degree in accounting and sports marketing from Ohio State University and has cut his teeth in his own Beach Marketing Solutions company. Now Beach is ready to use his expertise in branding and promoting the world’s quickest and fastest eighth mile drag racing organization.
“The PDRA has a really good brand,” stated Beach, who is excited about his new role and helping to promote an organization he’s already passionate about. “It’s the fastest eighth mile drag racing series in the world. So there’s nothing else like what we’re doing. We’re the only family-based organization in drag racing. We can relate to every single person that comes through the gate because they are families, and they bring their family to the race track. Our organization is run by families. So we have a pretty unique brand to market.”
Mel Bush Motorsports Named Title Sponsor of PDRA Sunshine State Shootout
PITTSBORO, NC – Team owner Mel Bush has made evident just how dedicated he is to the growing Professional 
Drag Racers Association by stepping up to sponsor the organization’s ninth event in the 2015 tour. Bush has supported the PDRA thus far by contesting cars in NAS Racing Pro Extreme and Precision Turbo Pro Boost with driver Tommy D’Aprile. After a complete overhaul of his program during the off season, Bush got a late start in PX this year and is still waiting for updates to be completed on his 409 bubble top Chevy for Pro Boost. However, the Florida businessman has never slowed down in his enthusiasm for his racing operation or for the PDRA.
“You can’t say enough about the Scruggs family,” said Bush. “They keep that thing going. You can’t find better people than that. I just love those guys, Jason and Mitchell. They’re doing a great job with the PDRA. They do whatever they have to do and go above and beyond. My wife and I enjoy being around those people, being around the PDRA as far as that goes. We look forward to every race. We missed the first three because the car wasn’t ready yet, but we’re on board now. It’s great out there. It’s a great bunch of people. I’m just hoping we can get some sponsors on board to help fund it and take some of the burden off the owners. That’s one of the reasons I’m stepping up. I felt like I needed to. They’re just so damn nice to me. I really wanted to do it, because they’re just such a great bunch of people.”
PDRA Promotions Ramp Up as Mike ‘The Hitman’ Hill Joins the Team
PITTSBORO, NC – Mike Hill, better known as ‘The Hitman’ to his competitors, has been a standout in outlaw racing 
for years. He cut his teeth street racing during his teens before he wised up and switched to the safety of the strip. He quickly fell in with the outlaw racing scene as it gained popularity among racers in the Southeast. While Hill’s racing operation saw a lot of success, he desired to use his passion to also make a living.
The opportunity came along to team up with famed promoter George Howard and Hill quickly found his second niche in drag racing. “Racing was my biggest hobby,” he told. “Why not take something you love and try to make a living off of it? I started doing promotions around 2000 working with George Howard at Huntsville Dragway. We put on a race for Outlaw 10.5 with $20,000 to win. We started from there, putting up big money for Outlaw 10.5 cars and it just grew.”

International Christian Film Festival winner starring John Schneider set for late summer

“Adrenaline,” the International Christian Film Festival winner starring John Schneider and written, produced and directed by Joseph Quinn Simpkins.
“Adrenaline” is the story of a drag racer whose life is changed forever by a near-fatal car crash that leaves him partially paralyzed, forcing him to face new circumstances as he ulitmately learns to race again. FISHER HEADS TO MARYLAND PDRA EVENT WITH RENEWED EXCITEMENT
Growing pains affect racers and teams at all levels in the exciting sport of drag racing and in 2015, Performance by 
Fisher Racing has had their fair share. After finally getting to debut their brand new 2015 American Race Cars Top Dragster in mid-May, sans any testing, the team felt a little behind in where they had hoped to be by that time of the season.
The power plant for the new car is relatively the same Ohio Crankshaft 547ci BBC F2 ProCharger combination that the team had utilized over the previous three seasons with Kevin Fisher behind the wheel. Starting this season, Kevin has stepped out of the driver’s seat to concentrate more on the tuning and the crew chief side while Kathy Fisher has assumed double driving duties of both the new Armor Coat Ceramic Header Coating/Ohio Crankshaft/Borla/K&N car and the team’s K&N Filters/Borla Exhaust Super Comp ride.

competition in drag racing. As the fastest and quickest sportsman level categories, these bad boys of bracket racing judge times dialed in to a hundredth of a second at speeds over 200 MPH. The ability of the drivers and crew to predict their cars performance and then gauge the finish line at those speeds is mind boggling.

Street Outlaw Stars Will Race with PDRA at Memphis Drags
PITTSBORO, NC – Discovery Channel’s hit reality show, Street Outlaws, has been the source of much controversy,

Daddy Dave and Chuck will run a best of three match race in conjunction with the second annual event at Memphis International Raceway. Chuck is widely known as the hothead of the Oklahoma City street racing scene. The PDRA Brings Top Pro Mod Action to MDIR
