The special and spectacular event will feature fan-favorite NHRA Funny Car drivers John Force, Robert Hight, Ron Capps, Tim Wilkerson, Cruz Pedregon and Dale Creasy Jr., who will race down track at well over 300 mph with their hot headers lit.
The legendary Bob Motz will blast off in his jet engine-powered truck and leave fans wondering what he’ll burn up behind him, and drivers bringing extra heat in their jet engine-powered vehicles and competing in the North American Jet Car Championship are Danny Sullivan and Chicago Rush, Ernie Bogue and Beast from the East, Robert Albertson and Blazing Angel, Josh Graham and Eastern Raider, Tony Franco and MAV TV, Al Zukaskas and Hot Blade and Shelly Segal and Fire Starter.
Richard Hutchins will go wheels-up in his Chevy-powered VW bus, Chevy Rebellion, and additional action will come from ScottRod’s AA/Gassers and the R&R Auto Body, DeCerbo Construction and P2 Contracting Rumble Wars Extreme 8. Top Alcohol Dragster driver Corey Michalek will fire up his Energize dragster to face Top Alcohol Dragster driver JP Gutierrez and his MGM Grand Detroit dragster.
The event considered to be the largest of its kind in the country will offer bracket and heads-up racing as well as a car show, swap-meet, manufacturers’ midway and opportunities to buy or sell Pontiacs. Fans will see cars that have been at the event before as well as cars that have not.
Nostalgia Super Stockers will be in the spotlight, and popular Pontiac racer Arnie “The Farmer” Beswick, who has piloted plenty of Super Stockers and Funny Cars through the years, including his 1964 GTO nicknamed the Tameless Tiger, will talk with fans and sign autographs.
The Ames Performance Buffet will be offered for race, show and swap-meet participants on Saturday, with a variety of other food available for purchase throughout the weekend, including a pound of Velvet ice cream for $1.
Norwalk, OH – Allen Willison of Mansfield, Ohio was the winner of a 1948 Fiat sedan delivery roller professionally built by ScottRods Custom HotRods and Fiberglass on July 14, 2019 at the 18th Annual Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Blue Suede Cruise presented by ScottRods Custom HotRods and Fiberglass at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
Willison’s name was chosen in a drawing that took place on the starting line, where the car was waiting, and there was great applause as he made his way from the stands to the starting line to join Summit Motorsports Park’s Evan Bader and ScottRods Custom HotRods and Fiberglass’ Scott Leber and to see his new car up-close.
According to Leber, the car is unique and features a custom-fabricated chassis with front suspension components including a gun-drilled axle with traverse leafspring, hairpin radius rods, shocks, disc brakes and Unisteer rack and pinion steering, and rear suspension components including a four-link with coilover shocks, Ford 9-inch rear-end housing with 31-spline axles and drum brakes. It’s rolling on new wheels and tires, and the entire package is valued at $20,000.
Norwalk, OH – Racing and revelry will be all the rage for junior dragster drivers at the Summit Racing Equipment Patriot Nationals presented by Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels, June 28-30 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
The inaugural event, which is part of the Protect the Harvest Midwest Junior Super Series presented by Lucas Oil, is for youth ages 6-17 and their families and friends. Eleven different categories of racing, as well as a gamblers’ race, will be contested.
As a super-special element, NHRA Top Fuel driver Antron Brown, NHRA Funny Car driver Bob Bode and NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Andrew Hines will mix it up with drivers in the pit area.
“We’ll have all of these stars in the pit area, and I think that will be a cool experience for all of the kids, whether they follow the Protect the Harvest Midwest Junior Super Series presented by Lucas Oil or not,” said Bill Bader Jr., Summit Motorsports Park president.
The fun-filled event will feature a water theme, and there will be a water slide, jump-houses, a slip-and-slide, water balloons and more. Summit Motorsports Park staff members will even have water-squirters.
Norwalk, OH – John Force Racing and Summit Motorsports Park have partnered to present the John Force Racing Ultimate Experience at the 13th Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, which is June 20-23 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
The program features an opportunity to take in the sights, sounds and sensations of the event from the John Force Racing Pit Side Suites situated right in the pit area of John Force Racing, a fan-favorite team consisting of Funny Car drivers John Force and Robert Hight, and Top Fuel drivers Brittany Force and Austin Prock.
A select few tickets are available for Friday and Sunday. Saturday is already a sellout. Each costs $260 for a day, and in addition to being able to sit in the John Force Racing Pit Side Suites, they include a meal, coupons for Velvet ice cream, a meet-and-greet with the John Force Racing drivers, reserved seating in the stands on the Budweiser side of the park and VIP parking.
Norwalk, OH – A magnetic mix of muscle cars, monster trucks and motorcycles will have the stage at Super Summit, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, June 7 and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, June 8 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.
Admission is free for the chock-full of character event that will feature cruise-ins, fun-runs sponsored by JBA Performance Exhaust and an autocross course sponsored by RideTech.
There also will be an off-road obstacle course for participants with 4X4s sponsored by Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels and Dick Cepek.
ScottRods AA/Gassers will fire up for cacklefests, and drivers from the Summit Racing Equipment Midwest Drags will drive in and drag race on June 7 to wrap their three-track tour.

Among the completely engrossing and entertaining categories of this NHRA Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series event are Top Alcohol Dragster, which sees 285-plus mph vehicles, Top Alcohol Funny Car, which sees 270-plus mph vehicles, Competition Eliminator, Super Stock, Stock Eliminator, Super Comp, Super Gas, Super Street, Top Sportsman, Top Dragster and Pro Stock Snowmobile.
Added adrenaline will come from Richard Hutchins, who will aim high in his wheel-standing Chevy Rebellion VW bus, and Rich Hanna and Ken Hall, who will shoot flames and soar down track in their First Strike and Top Secret jet engine-powered Funny Cars.
