Mickey Thompson Back as NHRA Major Event Sponsor for 2021
STOW, OH – With a proven legacy in drag racing, it’s no surprise that Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels is back as a major event sponsor of 
the 2021 NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series.

After Positive Renewal Period NHRA FallNationals Tickets on Sale Now
ENNIS, TX – The continuing positive developments across the state of Texas have Texas Motorplex, home of the NHRA FallNationals, eager 
to host fans from across the country. Since the beginning of the year FallNationals preferred customers have been renewing their seats for one of the biggest motorsports events in the state and last year’s largest NHRA national event. Today tickets for the 36th annual NHRA FallNationals went on sale to the general public, for the national event slated to be contested, October 7-10. The fourth of six Countdown championship playoff events, the FallNationals, is where title hopes are on the line and championship aspirations become a reality.
“Last year we overcame a lot of hurdles to get to the FallNationals. That race was one of the biggest outdoor events in the state and I could not be prouder of how our whole team pulled together with the NHRA,” said Texas Motorplex General Manager Andy Carter. “We saw an incredible renewal rate and we are excited to start making tickets available to the general public. Once again we will have the top NHRA competitors in almost every premier class, plus our Friday Night Live show and many more extra family-friendly add-on elements. Coming to the FallNationals will be more than a playoff race it will be a full blown entertainment experience for everyone.”
The NHRA FallNationals will feature the four top-tier categories competing in the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series highlighted by Top Fuel and Funny Car stars like John Force, Brittany Force, three-time Top Fuel champion and Kilgore, Texas resident Steve Torrence, Matt Hagan, Ron Capps, J.R. Todd, Shawn Langdon, Alexis DeJoria and 2020 Rookie of the Year Justin Ashley. Additionally Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle competitors like Erica Enders, Alex Laughlin, Greg Anderson, Matt and Angie Smith, Scotty Pollacheck, Angelle Sampey will also be battling for the Camping World Drag Racing Series world championships. Pro Mods, Factory Stock and a host of Lucas Oil Series sportsman categories will also be on the property.
Additionally the NHRA FallNationals will feature the return of the “Friday Night Live” which will include Top Fuel and Funny Car qualifying under the lights as well as specialty exhibition races and the popular Friday Night Live After Party on the starting line with Laney Newman.
At the end of the month Texas Motorplex will kick off their major event schedule with the inaugural Nitro Madness event which is shaping up to be one of the largest Funny Car events in the last 50 years. Over 60 competitors have entered with additional competitors reaching out to Funny Car Chaos promoter Chris Graves every day. The event will be held Match 26-27 with tickets on sale now.
Texas Motorplex was the first all-concrete stadium-style drag racing facility constructed. Built in 1986, Texas Motorplex has been the place of many drag racing milestones and world record performances. The Billy Meyer-owned facility hosts a number of racing and car show events between January and November each year and also features the Champion’s Club – an 11,000 square-foot facility – that serves fully catered events throughout the year.

NHRA ANNOUNCES DODGE//SRT AS TITLE SPONSOR OF DENVER, INDIANAPOLIS EVENTS; MOPAR EXPRESS LANE TO SPONSOR READING RACE
GLENDORA, CA – NHRA officials announced Mopar and Dodge//SRT as the title rights sponsors of the Dodge//SRT Mile-High NHRA 
Nationals presented by Pennzoil at Bandimere Speedway in Denver, the prestigious Dodge//SRT NHRA U.S. Nationals at Lucas Oil Raceway at Indianapolis and the Mopar Express Lane NHRA Nationals presented by Pennzoil at Maple Grove Raceway in Reading, Pa.
These three events will take place this season as NHRA celebrates its 70th anniversary.

NHRA, MATTEL PARTNER IN THE FAST LANE WITH HOT WHEELS
GLENDORA, CA – NHRA and Mattel® announced today their licensing partnership to develop collectible die-cast vehicles under the iconic 
Hot Wheels® brand, hitting stores in June.
The new partnership will see die-cast versions of classic hot rods including a 1974 Chevrolet Vega Pro Stock car and a 1971 Ford Mustang Funny Car. NHRA fans young and old can host their own drag races in living rooms across the world.
NHRA and Mattel have teamed up in the past and with the with history, power, and speed at the heart of both brands, the collaboration is seamless.
NHRA.TV TO STREAM NHRA ‘BABY GATORS’ PLUS PRE-SEASON TEST SESSION
GLENDORA, CA – NHRA’s exclusive streaming service, NHRA.tv, will give NHRA fans free viewing access to both the Lucas Oil Drag Racing 
Series event the Baby Gators and the pre-season testing session prior to the AMALIE Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals.
Fans are invited to create an account with NHRA.tv and will be granted free viewing access to both the Baby Gators race and testing at Gainesville Raceway.

TICKETS NOW ON SALE FOR MOPAR EXPRESS LANE NHRA SPRINGNATIONALS PRESENTED BY PENNZOIL
GLENDORA, CA – Tickets are now on sale for the 34th annual Mopar Express Lane NHRA SpringNationals presented by Pennzoil, scheduled for May 21-23 in the Houston suburb of Baytown.
The largest annual sporting event in Southeast Texas will feature professional drag racing in three categories of the NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series: Top Fuel, Funny Car and Pro Stock, as well as a variety of classes in the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series.
“As host of this event for more than three decades, we are thrilled to welcome back our loyal fans to one of the quickest and fastest racetracks in the country,” said track operator Seth Angel. “And we’re super happy to return to our traditional spring date on the NHRA schedule.

NHRA SOUTHERN NATIONALS RESCHEDULED
GLENDORA, CA – NHRA and Atlanta Dragway have teamed up to announce the new dates for the 40th annual NHRA Southern Nationals. The fan-favorite event will be moved to April 30-May 2.
“We are looking forward to celebrating the 40th NHRA Southern Nationals,” said Kasey Coler, NHRA Vice President of Track Management & Operations. “We believe the new dates will allow for more of our loyal Atlanta-based fans to attend the event and will allow us to comply with state health guidelines.”
Atlanta Dragway has been a staple on the NHRA tour for the past 40 years. NHRA and race teams alike look forward to returning to the historic facility, after missing the event in 2020 due to the global pandemic.

RIGHT TRAILERS PARTNERS WITH NHRA TO SPONSOR ‘RIGHT ON THE NUMBER’ PROGRAM
GLENDORA, CA – NHRA and Right Trailers, Inc. have teamed up to announce the “Right on the Number” program, a three-year agreement 
beginning this season.
The “Right on the Number” program, sponsored by Right Trailers, plans to award a $1,000 cash prize to any sportsman racer (or split between racers) who run their index or dial-in during a winning round of competition during an NHRA national event.

GLENDORA, CA – NHRA’s exclusive streaming service, NHRA.tv, will now offer complimentary viewing of select NHRA Sportsman events, powered by NHRA National Dragster magazine.
NHRA fans and racers alike can create an NHRA.tv account and will be granted complimentary access to view select Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series events, beginning in February. The Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series kicks off its 2021 season at Orlando Speed World Dragway, Feb. 4-6. Racing action continues Feb. 18-20 at South Georgia Motorsports Park, Feb. 26-27 at No Problem Raceway and March 4-6 at the “Baby Gators” at Gainesville Raceway.
Longtime partner of NHRA, Strange Engineering will play a major role in the NHRA Sportsman streaming and will be a partner for select Lucas Oil series divisional events, Summit Racing Jr. Drag Racing Series and Summit Racing ET Divisional Finals streamed events.
2021 NHRA SCHEDULE CHANGE ANNOUNCED
GLENDORA, CA – NHRA and Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park have made the difficult decision to not host the 2021 NHRA Arizona Nationals, leaving an opening on the 2021 schedule which NHRA is optimistic will be filled with an event at a facility that has not hosted a national event before.
The ongoing COVID-19 restrictions due to the public health situation in the Phoenix area and state of Arizona were taken into account by officials at NHRA and Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in determining to not hold the event this year.
“We’ll miss our annual stop at Wild Horse Pass, but we are working on new options for 2021,” said NHRA president Glen Cromwell. “We hope that fans in the area will try to make it to another one of our events.”
The Gila River community, track and NHRA officials mutually agreed not to host the Phoenix event in 2021, primarily based on COVID-19-related issues.
