Nancy Matter Continues Guardian For Heroes Foundation Alliance Through 2017 Racing Season

Dallas, TX – Nancy Matter Motorsports is proud to announce their alliance with the Guardian For Heroes Nancy MattersFoundation – The Chris Kyle Legacy will continue through the 2017 Racing Seasons.

Matter acknowledges their on track performance was far from spectacular in 2015 since not only did they change their engine combination which leaves little to no data after brief test sessions, but Matter also sustained an injury to her left foot in July which subsequently, sidelined the team throughout the majority of the season from any racing activities.

“We experienced an immense amount of change during the 2015 racing season” notes Matter. “Being injured was one thing, but our alliance with Wayne, Deby, Jeff and Amy Kyle, Guardian For Heroes Foundation and The Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit has been an incredible honor for us and we look forward to what the future has in store, on and off Track. We learned a lot of what didn’t work last year and we’ve made a plethora of changes that we’re hoping will produce results when we test in San Antonio next week.”

Matter Introduces Rusty Beagle as Associate Sponsor

Dallas, TX – Nancy Matter Motorsports welcomes the Rusty Beagle Sports Grill as their new associate partnership on Rusty Beaglethe Chris Kyle – Guardian for Heroes / NTX Diesel Monte Carlo Top Alcohol Funny Car for the remainder of the 2015 racing season.

“Rusty Carlock was the Founder of ‘The Beagle’ as we call it” states Matter, “Rusty unexpectedly passed from Cancer on March 27, 2015 leaving the business to operate under the careful guidance of his son, Charlie.”

After attending a Spirit of a Hero Event, honoring Sgt. Omar Milan, Matter and approximately thirty of the Combat Veteran attendees went to The Beagle to eat dinner where Charlie Carlock introduced himself to the group.

Matter’s Guardian For Heroes Funny Car on Display during Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit

May 1st and May 2nd, 2015, marked the second annual Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit. On the second day of the event, Chris Kyle Memorial Benefit River RanchThe Guardian for Heroes Alcohol Funny Car Team driven by Nancy Matter was there with the car on display during part the festivities.

“There were a lot of different events all happening at the same time” noted Matter, “When Wayne and Deby Kyle invited us to put the car on display, we were absolutely thrilled to be a part of such an honorable cause. Chris Kyle started Guardian for Heroes in 2012 with a vision that his Family vows to continue, now and in the future”.

“There were Navy Seals, as well as well highly decorated Army, Air Force and Marine Soldiers in attendance. We had many men and women from our military sign the car including The Kyle Family on the Hood of the Monte Carlo exclusively around Chris’s name”.

Nancy Matter TA/FC, new look & drive for 2015

When Nancy Matter flipped the calendar over for the start of 2015, little did she realize the events that were about to unfold for the upcoming race season.

After a most successful return to the Alcohol Funny Car wars in 2014 from an almost six year layoff, Nancy and the NTX Diesel crew were looking forward to continuing the contest in 2015. But, unbeknownst to Nancy a series of unique and personal encounters were about to unfold that would reshape not only her racing efforts for the upcoming season, but her energy level as well.

Through an NTX Diesel customer and an idle conversation, a connection was made that now has turned into an alliance for the 2015 racing season, an alliance that has brought a new awareness of a situation that affects the entire country.

Racing to The Rescue – Drag Racing and Car Show for Katie Gutierrez in North Texas

Denton, TX –  On November 19th 2011, local drag racers and Northstar Dragway are joining together to help offset costs for 13 year old Katie Gutierrez-Meeker who was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor known in the medical field as Craniopharyngioma.  She is currently recovering from her fourth brain surgery. 

Pat “Summer” Loar and Nick Duty of Northstar Dragway are the event coordinators.

“Katie is a very strong and positive girl, even with everything she is going through” noted Loar, “we are having a silent auction, car show, grudge race and bake sale that all proceeds will go to Katie’s family.

“The pro mod team of Eric and Scott Clark are going to be match racing Chris Dollar to add to the excitement along with several other pro mods teams having their cars there on hand, including Jackie Deaver and Nancy Matter.  In addition, we are having five classes of index racing, a super pro and no electronic gambler’s race.

“We would really like to thank Nick Duty at Northstar for opening up the drag strip for this event and I know Katie and her family are extremely grateful, we hope we can all pull together for this cause.”
