Janis Readies For ADRL Battle For The Belts

Eaton/Aeroquip’s Mike Janis Racing Team to Host Peterbilt and Waste Management Employees at National Guard American Drag Racing League’s LenMar Motorsports ADRL World Finals V

Elma, NY  — The weekend of October 23rd will be jam packed for the Eaton/Aeroquip backed Mike Janis Racing JanissmTeam. Not only will Friday night mark the conclusion of the 2009 season with Janis competing in the ultra competitive Speedtech Battle for the Belts, Saturday will mark the beginning of the 2010 National Guard ADRL season and to add to an already busy race weekend the Eaton/Aeroquip team will be hosting guests in a hospitality area adjacent to the team’s pit.

With the 2009 ADRL title on the line Friday night the Eaton/Aeroquip backed team is planning a no holds barred attack on the Pro Extreme competition. A win Friday night will secure the 2009 ADRL Pro Extreme title for the Eaton/Aeroquip backed team. In preparation for the event the Janis team left their Elma, NY shop several days early, headed to Texas for a well needed test session.

Janis’ Aeroquip Team Looking to Increased Performance with Ram Clutches Help

Elma, NY (August 17, 2009) – After taking his second victory of the season at the recently concluded ADRL Hardee’s Gateway Drags II at Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Illinois Mike Janis and his Aeroquip team are still chasing that perfect run.

Janis Claims Second Minute Man With Win in St. Louis

Madison, Il. (August 10, 2009) – Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good, but even when you’re good a little luck doesn’t hurt. That’s how the Aeroquip backed team of Mike Janis felt as they left Gateway International Raceway in Madison, Illinois after winning the ADRL Hardee’s Gateway Drags II.

 The Aeroquip team made their way to the finals after qualifying his Davis Technologies equipped ’67 Firebird 10th with a 3.935 and getting by Brian Daniels in round one, Wes Johnston in round two and Frankie “The Mad Man” Taylor in the semis. Continue reading

Davis Technologies Expands Sponsorship of Mike Janis Racing for Remainder of ’09 Season

Elma, NY (August 6, 2009) – After Mike Janis took his first ADRL pole at the ADRL NATIONALGUARD.com U.S. Drags II two weeks ago Shannon Davis of Davis Technologies approached the team to expand their one race deal for the remainder of the season.

 “The sponsorship from Davis Technologies is only made possible because of the sanctioning body we run. With traction control legal in the ADRL it’s stupid not to use it. For one, it becomes a tuning aid for the crew chief. Traction control can help save a run and it should be looked at that way. Mike Janis’ Aeroquip Team Takes 1st ADRL P/X Win at Hardee’s Independence Drags III

Topeka, Kansas (July 6, 2009) – Heading into the Topeka event the Aeroquip team of Mike Janis knew they would need to make gains inside the bell housing for the team to utilize all the Jan-Cen horsepower they have on tap. They turned to long time sponsor Ram Clutches and Pat Norcia for the help they needed and the results speak for themselves. Aeroquip Team Has Two Chances At First Win In Martin

Elma, NY – With the ADRL Quarter-Max Drags’ semi-final and final rounds held over till Friday’s qualifying for the ADRL Ford Drive One Summer Drags V, Mike Janis has two shots in one event to take home his first ADRL Minute Man. 

After defeating Brian Daniels, two weeks ago,  in the quarter-finals of the ADRL Quarter-Max Drags, in Memphis, Mike Janis was preparing his Aeroquip backed Dan Page Race Cars built ride for the semis against Quain Stott.

As Janis’ team prepared to pull their Jan-Cen “Monster Power” equipped machine from their pit area the race was called due to rain. The rain delayed portion of the ADRL Quarter-Max event will be concluded this Friday night during qualifying for the ADRL Ford Drive One Summer Drags V. Leaving the Aeroquip team in familiar territory at Martin’s U.S 131 Dragway.
