Texas Street Car Event brings five days of action-packed motorsports to Houston
STOW, OH – TX2K has become one of the hottest competitive street car gatherings in the Lone Star State, and Mickey Thompson Tires & 
Wheels is proud to support the 2022 (TX2K22) event as it returns to Houston Raceway Park.
Set for March 16-20, TX2K22 will consist of five action-packed days of motorsports, including test-and-tune, qualifying and elimination rounds for drag racing, roll racing and related contests, with awards and payouts presented Sunday evening.
“Everything is bigger in Texas, and that includes our visibility at the very popular TX2K,” said Jason Moulton, Sr. Motorsports Manager, Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels. “This event attracts all types of performance vehicles, and allows us to introduce our race tires to an active group of enthusiastic racers.”
TX2K started in 2000 as a Toyota Supra-focused gathering, and over the past 22 years has evolved to encompass all makes and models. Embracing a street car theme, the event is a competitive-yet-friendly community of enthusiasts. It has also become the single largest Nissan GT-R national event of the year.

A week of small-tire drag racing is headed to Georgia
STOW, OH – Small tires take center stage as the popular Lights Out 13 competition, sponsored by Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels, heads 
back to South Georgia Motorsports Park in Adel, Georgia.
The week-long series of competitions feature high-excitement drag racing in a variety of classes. With races set for Feb. 24-27, it annually attracts drivers from all over the country, battling it out for bragging rights and big purses.
“We can’t wait to get back out to the track at Lights Out 13,” said Jason Moulton, Sr. Motorsports Manager, Mickey Thompson. “The fans and racers always make this a fantastic event, and it’s a great showcase for our ET Street Radial Pro tires.”
Mickey Thompson’s DOT-approved radial drag tire, the ET Street Radial Pro, is a purpose-built race tire for classes requiring P275/60R15 or P315/60R15 tires. The racing tire features radial construction designed to take more power for better launches and a reduced tread pattern for maximum traction.

The Mickey Thompson Tires Grudge Test & Tune is designed for those looking to run at certain NMRA events but don’t necessarily fit into one of the heads-up or index categories. Vehicles must be a Ford Motor Company body and powered by a Ford-based powerplant. It’s that simple!
The first Grudge Test & Tune event is the Spring Break Shootout March 4-6 at Bradenton Motorsports Park in Bradenton, Florida. The category makes its second appearance during the Ford Performance Nationals June 9-12 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio. The NMRA World Finals Sept. 29-Oct. 2 at Beech Bend Raceway in Bowling Green, Kentucky, is the final host of the Grudge Test & Tune.

Company will serve as the Official Tire Sponsor of the new drag-and-drive event
STOW, OH – Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels has signed on as the Official Tire Sponsor of the 2022 SICK WEEK in Florida, a new drag-
and-drive event created by Tom Bailey and Sick The Mag.
Set for Feb. 7-11, the five-day event will visit four tracks—Bradenton Raceway Park, Orlando Speed World and Gainesville Raceway in Florida, and South Georgia Motorsports Park in Valdosta, Georgia.

STOW, OH – A week of drag racing could end in an incredible payday for one lucky driver as part of the 26th annual Million Dollar Drag 
Race sponsored by Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels.
Set for Oct. 19 – 23 at South Georgia Motorsports Park, the 1/8-mile bracket racing challenge will feature cash prizes each day, including the Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels Million that will pay up to $1 million depending on the number of eligible racers who enter.

Moulton brings 23 years of experience in race tire development to new role
STOW, OH – Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels has named Jason Moulton Director of Motorsports. With 23 years of experience in race tire 
development for Mickey Thompson, Moulton notably has led the development of several successful new drag race products.

WCHRA’s sixth annual The Battle is set for April 21-25 at Tucson Dragway in Arizona.
