Thompson will also act as the presenting sponsor of the ADRL Summit Racing Equipment Ohio Drags VI event sponsor, as well as the Extreme 10.5 racing class sponsor. An expanded contingency program will also support all highly competitive racing classes in the coming season.

Mickey Thompson Returns to DRO AA/FC Challenge

Challenge in 2012 as a presenting sponsor. The company will be posting awards for winners and runners up for all eight events beginning with the first event April 26-28 at Texas Raceway Park.

Kundrik Gets the Nod as New Motorsports Manager at Mickey Thompson

STOW, OH – Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels is proud to announce the promotion of Tom Kundrik to the position of Motorsports Manager. Kundrik has been a company employee since 2006.
“I am very pleased to have been selected for this important position,” stated Kundrik. “I am passionate about our motorsports program, our high-performance tire and wheel products, and the racers, sanctioning bodies and dealers we support though our motorsports program, and I will dedicate myself to making a valuable contribution to our continued success in my new role.”
In his new role, Kundrik will manage all aspects of Mickey Thompson’s motorsports marketing programs including the company’s trackside support team, event sponsorships, sanctioning body relationships, and sponsorship efforts for drivers through the “Team M/T” program. Mickey Thompson Motorsports attends more than 100 drag racing, off-road racing, short course, motorcycle drag racing, and car show events each year with five fully equipped rigs to provide trackside service to racing teams.

STOW, OH – After final testing, Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels brought the new ET Street Radial Pro P275/60R15 tire, part number 3754X, to the 2012 Radial Revolution “The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia III”
and were thrilled to see this tire perform.
An outstanding 10 out of 14 X275 class qualifiers earned top spots, and every X275 class record was shattered using this tire during qualifying rounds.

with Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels to provide product development staff with evaluation results of tire and wheel products in real-world racing.
Mickey Thompson will provide support to the Bill Glidden Racing team as they compete in the Extreme 10.5 class of the 2012 ADRL drag racing series.

Hot Rod Magazine Selects Mickey Thompson Sportsman Pro Tire for the Speed Parts Hall of Fame

THREE OUT OF SIX ADRL “BATTLE FOR THE BELTS” COMPETITORS WIN THE ON MICKEY THOMPSON TIRES

Three out of six competitors in the ADRL “Battle for the Belts” took home the exclusive champion belt on Mickey Thompson tires including Ashley Owens (using part #3055S and #3210), Dan Millen (using part #3169W 10.5-inch rear tires and PRO-5 Drag Wheels) and Morgan Benfield (using the new #3625 Junior Dragster tire).
Dan Millen has earned special congratulations for his “Triple Crown” win as he won the race, a “Battle for the Belts” victory, and the 2011 Mickey Thompson-sponsored Extreme 10.5 Class Championship. MICKEY THOMPSON TO SPONSOR THE DANNY THOMPSON CHALLENGER 2.5 LAND SPEED RECORD PROJECT

plans to exceed the existing internal combustion wheel-driven land speed record of 417.020 mph with a goal of more than 420 mph by the summer of 2012 on the Bonneville Salt Flats.
Thompson will complete the restoration of his fathers’ custom- built Challenger 2.5, building the fastest piston-powered car in the world, to achieve this incredible goal.
Through this important relationship, announced at a press conference on Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 4:15 p.m. at the 2011 SEMA Show booth 43013, Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels will donate $300,000 and a variety of other services in support this historic project.
Browne Thrills NITRO Nationals Crown with New World Record

In the qualifying round, Browne thrilled the crowd in his turbocharged Pro Gas Harley-Davidson 45-degree, V-Twin on Mickey Thompson motorcycle tire size 2.50/2.75-18 (part #3210) on the front, and Mickey Thompson Motorcycle Drag tire size 28.0/10.5-15S (part #3055S) on the rear, setting a new AHDRA world speed record of 199.32 miles per hour, and an incredible ET of 6.925 seconds.
“This was the first time that we have used the Mickey Thompson tire on the rear of our bike, and we can testify without a doubt that this tire was the singular reason we were able to achieve the speeds and elapsed times that we did,” stated Keith Browne of Browne Racing. “We have never before been able to achieve times in the sixes, and we will never use anything else but Mickey’s from now on. We want to extend our sincere thanks to our friend Don Plesser of PR Factory Store and Carl Robinson at Mickey Thompson for getting us the tire that has taken us to a new level.”
