ET Street Radial Pro leads “The Baddest Small Tire Races in the World.”
Leading the small tire category with its ET Street Radial Pro line, Mickey Thompson has supported the annual event since 2009. This year’s races are set for Feb. 15-18 at South Georgia Motorsports Park in Adel, Georgia.

Schedule expanded to 10 events for 2018
STOW, OH – Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels is back for another year of exciting motorcycle drag racing.
“We’re excited to welcome back the Mickey Thompson Tires Top Fuel Harley motorcycle category with an extended schedule,” said Graham Light, NHRA senior vice president. “Top Fuel Harley thrilled fans at events in 2017, and we look forward to seeing their growth this season.”
The new events for the Mickey Thompson Tires Top Fuel Harley Drag Racing Series are the Amalie Motor Oil NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, Florida in March; and the season-ending Chevrolet Performance U.S. Nationals, Aug. 29-Sept. 3, in Indianapolis.
“Drag racing is an important part of what we do, and who we are,” said Ken Warner, vice president of marketing, Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels. “We offer a complete line of competition tires for racers on two and four wheels, and we certainly don’t plan on slowing down anytime soon.”
The company will continue its role as a contingency sponsor for all NHRA Sportsman racing classes, as well as Pro Mod and Pro Stock Motorcycle, and is title sponsor of the 10-event Mickey Thompson Tires Top Fuel Harley Drag Racing Series.
Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels opened its state-of-the-art headquarters and warehouse in September. The new location covers 200,000 square feet, including 20,000 square feet of office space.
The facility serves as the eastern distribution center and corporate headquarters for Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels, which includes both the Mickey Thompson and Dick Cepek brands.
LE Tonglet (Pro Stock Motorcycle) Val Torres Jr. (Super Comp), Chris Borges (Super Street) and Paul Nero (Top Dragster) all rode Mickey Thompson tires to winning times Sunday, July 30.
Tonglet, who also won the Mickey Thompson Pro Bike Battle, races on M/T 27.0/10.0-16M (Part# 3159M). Top Dragster champion Nero relies on M/T 35.0/15.0-16 ET Drag (Part# 3196). Super Comp winner Torres Jr. competes on M/T 35.0/15.0-16 ET Drag (Part# 3195 and Super Street champion Borges races on M/T 33.0/16.5-15S ET Drag (Part# 3084S).
STOW, OH – Mickey Thompson Tires & Wheels is the official sponsor for the National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Pro Bike Battle at northern California’s Sonoma Raceway—an all-star bonus event for the eight quickest Pro Stock Motorcycle riders in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series. The 2017 Toyota NHRA Sonoma Nationals will be held July 28-30 with TV coverage provided by FOX Sports 1.
Contested as a special race-within-a-race, Pro-Stock riders began earning points for the 2017 NHRA Pro Bike Battle during the 2016 Toyota NHRA Sonoma Nationals, and will continue earning points through the 2017 Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals in Denver. The eight riders accumulating the most qualifying points during the 16-race qualifying period will earn a berth in the 2017 NHRA Pro Bike Battle at Sonoma Raceway.
