Melanie Salemi a Fan Favorite in Pro Boost
PITTSBORO, NC – Midway through last season, Melanie Salemi waltzed into GALOT Motorsports Pro Boost as if 
she’d done it all her life. In just her second race out in her ‘68 Firebird she won the whole shebang, giving her early confidence and notoriety among fans. Salemi has continued to gain experience behind the wheel this season, going rounds consistently to earn a fourth place points standing. While driving takes top priority at events, the Canada-born racer puts a special focus on interacting with fans.
During this season Salemi implemented a t-shirt giveaway program to connect with her youngest fans. She came up with several trivia questions that would be read over the PA. The first kid to reach the tower with the right answer won a Melanie Salemi t-shirt. The idea was such a hit that other drivers began to follow suit. Salemi says she loves the chance to interact with the kids, who meet her at the trailer to cash in on their prize. Still, there are some fans who don’t immediately recognize the petite young woman as pilot of the blown Pro Mod that can cover the eighth-mile in just 3.78 seconds. Melanie Salemi Motorsports’ Delta Faucet Backed team to compete at IHRA Mopar Canadian Nationals this weekend
This upcoming weekend the Melanie Salemi Motorsports, Delta Faucets Backed, Pro Modified team will return to 
Melanie’s Home track in Grand Bend, Ontario Canada for the 14th Annual IHRA Mopar Canadian Nationals.
Currently Melanie is sitting in the #4 points position in the eighth mile PDRA Pro Boost class. she will take a short break from eighth mile racing to once again take on the full quarter mile
This will be Melanie’s first time competing in the ultra competitive Pro Modified class at her home track. After last year’s Mopar Canadian Nationals complete rainout she was unable to return for the rescheduled race due to prior commitments.
Salemi Looking to Rebound for US 131 Summer Drags
Melanie Salemi, driver of the Pro Boost 68 Firebird Pro Mod, is looking to get back to early season form. Salemi 
carded a runner up finish at the season opening race in Tulsa, Oklahoma and also ran a personal best of 3.78 at 196 mph. During the following two races, the Buffalo, NY team suffered two first round loses although qualifying in the top half of the field at both events.
Jon Salemi stated, “We had some parts failures and some self inflicted mechanical issues that a team will have from time to time. Hopefully we have put all of that past us and we can start making clean productive runs again. We’ve proven we can win in one of the most competitive categories in door slammer racing”.
New Technology Brings New Smiles to the Melanie Salemi Motorsports Team
The Melanie Salemi Motorsports Team is happy with recent on track results utilizing Fueltech EFI FT500 engine 
management system and Atomizer Fuel Injectors. During a test session / race event in Bradenton, Florida we made several runs in the 3.80’s with the Melanie Salemi driven G-Force Race Cars built 68 Firebird and worked out what it takes to have an EFI system on a supercharged Pro Mod. The FT500 is a complete management system controlling all of the tuning functions of the engine as well as shifting the car. “We made a total of 12 runs and it worked flawlessly on all of them. We couldn’t be more happy with these results.” Stated Jon Salemi.

Melanie Simmons Salemi Moves to Pro Boost in 2015
PITTSBORO, NC – Canadian-turned-New Yorker, Melanie Simmons Salemi, will be pulling the next gear in her 
racing career, moving from Top Dragster to Pro Boost in 2015. Pro Boost quickly became one of the most sought after classes in the PDRA, among racers and fans alike. The class has had only one female competitor (Carol Long) prior to Melanie campaigning in the PDRA 2015 season.
The 30 year old is teaming up with fellow Canadian and Pro Boost racer, Jay Santos. Both Salemi and Santos will have new ‘69 Camaros for the 2015 season built by Melanie’s brother-in-law, Jim Salemi who owns G-Force Race Cars.
