Classic Cars Are Stars of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Blue Suede Cruise presented by Cometic Gasket

Norwalk, OH – Music from the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s will play as cars from those eras pull in for the 21st Annual Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Blue Suede Cruise presented by Cometic Gasket, July 29-31, 2022 at Summit Motorsports Park in Norwalk, Ohio.

The event is a dedication to days gone by, and has been enjoyed by enthusiasts from across the country for decades. This year’s offering is sure to be outstanding.

In addition to a very colorful and chrome-filled car show, there will be fun-runs, Nostalgia Drag Racing League competition and an autocross.

Fans can check out all of the items available for purchase in the manufacturers’ midway, Women’s World and the park’s popular Quarter Mile Clothing Company.

Additional features of the longstanding event include the Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Make-A-Wish For More Horsepower Eliminator Spec Engine Raffle to benefit Make-A-Wish of Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana, opportunities to meet and see Dave Kindig and Kevin Schiele of Kindig-It-Design, the 348-409 Nationals presented by Anything on Wheels Customs and much more.

The evening of Saturday, July 30, will be super-special, with a concert by Phil Dirt and the Dozers, a parade of neon lights and a dazzling display of fireworks over the park.

Lingenfelter Creates Trophies for Select Summit Motorsports Park Wednesday Races

Norwalk, OH – Lingenfelter Performance Engineering Speed City, USA is one of the most popular programs at Summit Motorsports Park.  There are various categories for racers with cars, trucks and motorcycles who enjoy a relaxing yet rewarding evening.

It will be held most Wednesdays this year, but winners on the first Wednesday of each month will earn an inspired and interesting trophy cleverly created by Bobby Price, who has been a lead fabricator for Lingenfelter Performance Engineering for eight years.

Each trophy is made of car and engine parts that are left over from builds at Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, which is very appealing to racers and race fans.

“Bobby is an extremely creative and talented individual, and he has tremendous passion for what he does,” said Mark Rapson, COO/VP Operations, Lingenfelter Performance Engineering. “It takes him approximately an hour to make each trophy, depending on the size and complexity.”

BRIGHTON, MI – This year’s main event for COPO Camaro owners, the 2016 Holley LS Fest at Beech Bend Raceway LPE-Meyers COPOPark in Bowling Green, Ky., held September 9-11, 2016, is offering a $10,000* prize to the winner of the “Battle at the Green” COPO Camaro drag race. The event is co-sponsored by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and the School of Automotive Machinists & Technology (SAM Tech).

The Holley LS Fest is the largest gathering of LS engine powered vehicles in the country, with more than 671 competitors and 12,000 enthusiasts from across the U.S. attending in 2015. The COPO Camaro class is one of the most popular events with spectators at each Holley LS Fest. Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and SAM Tech have both supported this class since its inception.

LINGENFELTER PERFORMANCE AND RIDETECH REPEAT AS AUTOCROSS SPONSORS AT BLOOMINGTON GOLD JUNE 23-25

BRIGHTON, MI – Corvette engine experts Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and performance suspension LPE-RideTech Vettespecialist RideTech have teamed up again to sponsor the Gold Autocross event during the 2016 Bloomington Gold Corvette gathering at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, June 23-25, 2016.

The autocross will be held daily for Corvette owners of any skill level. Registration takes place on-site daily during check-in from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the track office. The first run starts daily at 9:00 a.m. Cost to participate is $25 for five runs. Helmets are required for participants and will be provided at the track.

EYESON DESIGN WEEK INCLUDES LINGENFELTER COLLECTION TOUR

June 18 Event to Benefit the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology

BRIGHTON, MI – This Saturday, June 18 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., The Lingenfelter Collection will open the doors of LPE Brighton Facilityits private collection of nearly 200 unique vehicles as part of the 29th annual EyesOn Design week of activities. The Lingenfelter Collection, located at 7819 Lochlin Drive in Brighton, Mich. 48116, is considered one of the most impressive personal vehicle portfolios in the country and includes a variety of late model exotics, Corvettes and muscle cars.

The event is open to the public with proceeds from ticket sales benefitting the Detroit Institute of Ophthalmology. Minimum donation per person is $15.

Owned by Ken Lingenfelter, a life-long auto enthusiast and CEO/owner of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering, the collection includes several vehicles that are considered some of the rarest in the world, including a Bugatti Veyron, an Enzo Ferrari and a Lamborghini Reventón. The newest addition is a LaFerrari, a hybrid with 789 horsepower and a V-12 engine that accelerates from 0 to 150 mph in 9.8 seconds.

LINGENFELTER COLLECTION’S 1981 GREENWOOD GTO CORVETTE TO APPEAR AT 2016 CONCOURS D’ELEGANCE

Invitation-only event honors the late Corvette racer John Greenwood

BRIGHTON, MI – Ken Lingenfelter, owner of Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and curator of the famed LPE 1981 Greenwood GTOLingenfelter Collection, has been invited to exhibit his 1981 Chevrolet Corvette Greenwood GTO at the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance, March 13 – 16, Amelia Island, Fla. It will be situated on the grounds at the west end of the main field by the pond.

This year’s Concours d’Elegance will honor John Greenwood, an American race driver who exclusively drove Chevrolet Corvettes during several significant races in the 1970s, including the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the 24 Hours of Daytona and the 12 Hours of Sebring. Together with his brother Burt Greenwood, John also owned Greenwood Corvettes, an automotive performance tuning and racing company specializing in the Corvette marque. Greenwood passed away this year at the age of 71.

Lingenfelter and SAM Racing Announce Ultimate COPO Race at Holley LS Fest

Holley is proud to announce that Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and SAM Racing will be sponsoring a new LS FestCOPO Camaro class at Holley’s LS Fest in 2016. More details will be given at a press conference at the PRI Show Media Center on December 11, 2015 at 11:30 a.m.

The Holley LS Fest is a celebration of everything and anything powered by the GM LS engine. LS Fest features drag racing, autocross, show-n-shine, drifting, and more. Event/class champions are crowned as well as an overall Grand Champion for those that compete in multiple events. All to be held at Holley’s home town tracks – the historic and beautiful Beech Bend Raceway Park and National Corvette Museum Motorsports Park on September 9th-11th in 2016.
