Five-Time World Champion Justin Lamb Carrying New Sponsor, New Colors into 2020 Season

LAS VEGAS – Justin Lamb, a five-time world champion in the NHRA’s sportsman ranks, will start the 2020 season with a new look on his Silver State Plumbing Chevy Cobalt Super Stock entry. The new two-tone blue paint job is one of several changes in the Lamb Motorsports camp going into the new season.

“Shane Thompson and Brian Peterson have been longtime supporters of our racing,” Lamb said of the Silver State Plumbing owners. “This year we decided to get the car painted in the colors of Silver State Plumbing. Jerron Settles painted it, Teran Marsell at Team Acme laid down the graphics, and Logan Staab designed the new look. We’re really happy with it and can’t wait to hit the track.”

Lamb Motorsports also saw a couple new or upgraded marketing partnerships over the winter. RAD Torque Systems, a torque wrench manufacturer, is stepping up as a major partner after joining the team in 2019. Liqui Moly, a German manufacturer of premium motor oil and additives, has joined on as the team’s new oil provider.

Double-Double: Lamb Finishes Dream Season with 4 Championships, Driver of the Year Honors

LAS VEGAS – Justin Lamb began the 2017 season with hopes of winning a second NHRA Super Stock national championship in his trusty Silverstate Plumbing Cobalt. He also planned to make a mid-season debut in his new Redback Boots ’17 COPO Camaro in Stock. By the time all the points were counted at the end of the season, Lamb earned the NHRA Lucas Oil Series national championships and Division 7 titles in Super Stock and Stock. Teammate Kyle Seipel also scored a Top 10 finish in NHRA Top Dragster national standings.

“What we accomplished this year really hasn’t set in yet, but there are times that really make it feel real,” Lamb said. “We went to the Division 7 banquet over the weekend. I’m going to say if 15 people spoke at the banquet, 10 of them mentioned our season. When others start noticing, it almost makes it more real – makes me realize maybe it’s bigger than I think it is.”

Lamb Clinches Third NHRA National Championship

LAS VEGAS – Two-time NHRA Lucas Oil Series national champion Justin Lamb secured the 2017 NHRA Super Stock national championship while racing at the NHRA Toyota Nationals in Las Vegas Friday morning. He’s also a serious contender for the Stock national championship.

“We set out this year with several goals, and one of them was to win a championship in Super Stock,” Lamb said. “We brought out a new Stocker and we weren’t sure how that would go, but we thought we had a good chance in Super Stock. It’s very rewarding and it’s nice that it’s done now. Both times I won championships in the past, it went down to the wire and there was a ton of pressure. It’s cool that we get to enjoy this one, especially here in Vegas at our home race.”
