Summit Motorsports Park Fueling Up for Fun Ford Reloaded 2

The Ford faithful will be out in full force for Trick Flow Specialties Fun Ford Reloaded 2, Friday through Sunday, July 7-9, 2017 at Summit Motorsports Park.

They’ll fly the blue oval in Fast Ford, Quick Ford, Street Ford and Nostalgia Ford categories for a combined purse of $23,600.

Then, the winner in each category on Saturday and Sunday, July 8-9, will run off to try to replace reigning King Ford, Brian Foecking, and receive a prize package valued at more than $3,000 and including a Trick Flow Specialties gift certificate, Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels slicks, Lincoln Electric welder, reserved pit space and free entry for next year’s event.

Also in the spotlight will be Box and No Box Shootouts, True Street, Gallop for the Gold, Frantic Four, Quick 16, a car show and a Y-Block Shootout, which will be contested on Saturday and Sunday, July 8-9 and features $3,000 in purse and prizes.

A new addition to this year’s event is the Titus Performance Cleveland Shootout, which is open to competitors in all categories who run a Cleveland engine built around a Cleveland block and will take place during time-trials on Saturday, July 8. The driver with the quickest elapsed-time will be rewarded with $300 and a trophy from Titus Performance, while the second place finisher will receive $200 and a trophy and the third place finisher will receive $100 and a trophy.

“This is a very fun race,” said A.J. Buchanan of Vickey, Ohio, who drove to the win in Quick Ford at last year’s event in his 1991 Mustang powered by a big-block Ford topped with Trick Flow Specialties heads and intake. “But my expectations for myself are high going into the weekend, because I’d really like to win the King Ford runoff. That’s my goal.”

Adding to all of the action will be a swap meet, manufacturers’ midway and the Trick Flow Specialties King Ford Feast, which will recognize reigning King Ford, Brian Foecking, and his accomplishments.

Gates open at 8 a.m. Friday, July 7 and 7 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 8-9, and time-trials begin 10 a.m. Friday, July 7 and 8:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday, July 8-9. Summit Motorsports Park is at 1300 State Route 18, Norwalk, Ohio. Admission for adults is $15 for one day; $25 for Saturday and Sunday or $35 for Friday-Sunday. Admission for children ages 6-12 is $5 daily. For cost to race or show car and additional information, visit www.summitmotorsportspark.com or call 419-668-5555.
