All Systems Go for Spring Warm-Up at Summit Motorsports Park

Summit Motorsports Park is ready to rocket into the new race season with the 36th Annual Spring Warm-Up.  During the event on April 15, drivers can test and tune, learn about and register for the Edelbrock Super Series, which boasts $53,100 in cash prizes, and the Finish Line Club, which boasts nearly $500,000 in cash and prizes, and receive an NHRA chassis inspection.

They can also have their wheels fitted with tires free of charge with the option to purchase them through the Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels Try and Buy program, plus peruse a swap-meet with everything from hubcaps to high horsepower engines.

The event is one of many designed to offer a one of a kind experience at Summit Motorsports Park this year, including the 11th Annual Cavalcade of Stars presented by Budweiser, May 19-21, Super Summit, June 9-10, 11th Annual Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals, June 22-25, 40th Annual Kelly Services Night Under Fire, August 12, 16th Annual NMCA All-American Muscle SuperNationals, August 25-27, Summit Racing Equipment Shakedown at the Summit 15 presented by Mickey Thompson Performance Tires & Wheels, Sept. 14-17 and others.

The Hackenberger Auction, featuring hundreds of vehicles spanning 50 years from Ron and Eunice Hackenberger’s collection, was recently added to the line-up and will be July 14-15, and an additional event to be announced soon ensures even more energy at the park.

Swap meet vendors may set up at 6 a.m. and gates open at 8 a.m., with track-time scheduled for 9 a.m.-8 p.m. on April 15. A 20′ X 35′ swap-meet space costs $35, which includes one adult entry. Admission to test and tune, shop the swap-meet or spectate is $15 for adults or free for children ages 12 and younger.

“Our team is very excited going into the new season, and we have every reason to believe that we could have a record-breaking year,” said Bill Bader, Jr., Summit Motorsports Park president. “We have a great line-up of events and entertainment, and we’re ready to hit it out of the park.”

Summit Motorsports Park is at 1300 State Route 18, Norwalk, Ohio.
