O’FALLON, MO – The American Drag Racing League (ADRL) is set to introduce another new sponsor for the first time in 2012.

A growing name in the drag racing shock industry, JRi Shocks has been named as an official sponsor for the world’s premier eighth-mile drag racing league in 2012, the ADRL announced on Tuesday.

Based out of Mooresville, N.C., JRi Shocks will post contingency in six of the ADRL’s classes (Pro Extreme, Pro Nitrous, Extreme 10.5, Extreme Pro Stock, Pro Modified and Top Sportsman) for the winner and runner-up at each ADRL national event.

The 2012 ADRL Tour begins on March 30-31 at Royal Purple Raceway in Houston and visits 10 of the top tracks in the nation.

“Everyone at JRI Shocks is very proud to announce our new relationship with the ADRL,” JRi Shocks Technical Advisor Dave Lovendahl said. “The ADRL has some of the best drag racing in the world and is a professionally-run organization that we are thrilled to be a part of.

“We think this is the start of a great and long-lasting relationship with the ADRL. Drag racing continues to move forward and we at JRI Shocks know that we can continue to go forward as a company working with the talented racers in the ADRL.”

JRi Shocks represent the new era in drag racing shocks, offering superior response time with a unique piston design.
As a growing name in the shock and drag racing industry, JRi also plans to have a noticeable presence at ADRL events during a highly-anticipated 2012 season.

“It is always a thrill to see new companies come into the ADRL and we are excited to form this new partnership with JRi. It is a great company that is always on the forefront of technology and their innovative products will surely be popular with the ADRL’s talented competitors,” ADRL Executive Vice President Jeff Fortune said.
“By posting contingency for the winner and runner-up in six classes, it also shows they are fully on board with the ADRL and where we are headed in 2012.”

In addition to the innovative piston design, JRi Drag Racing Shocks have posted impressive launch characteristics while maintaining grip throughout the entire track. Led by in-depth research and development from the JRi Drag Race Development Team, JRi’s ST/08 drag racing shock is catered to the extreme and unique demands in drag racing.

“We have designed and built shocks specifically built for today’s drag racing and the cars involved,” Lovendahl said. “There are incredible cars in the ADRL and we want to help these racers continue to improve at a rapid rate.
“With reduced tire shake, driver’s 60-foot and 330’ times will improve, leading to better overall performance. We custom-designed and built the ST/O8 to be the most cost-efficient high-performing shock system in the industry.”
