PDRA Sponsor Spotlight: Brad Anderson Enterprises

PITTSBORO, NC – Brad Anderson Enterprises (BAE) sponsors the Pro Extreme #1 Qualifier Award at each PDRA event. The company has been pivotal in a myriad of racing success stories since its inception in 1982. It’s only fitting, then, that BAE honors the top qualifier in the premier class of the PDRA.

Anderson earned three championships during his days competing in Alcohol Funny Car, and two others with his son behind the wheel. The greater amassment of championship in which BAE played a factor is astounding, with Anderson himself having lost count, although he estimates that his products have been part of around 80% of world championships in various classes throughout the years.

BAE’s products, most notably blocks, manifolds and cylinder heads, can be found on such high profile teams as Bubba Stanton, Jason Scruggs, and GALOT Motorsports, with somewhere around half of all Pro Extreme teams utilizing BAE blocks and manifolds.

“I partnered with the PDRA because I think it’s the greatest thing going for the door people,” told Anderson. “They don’t get the recognition they deserve. There’s a lot of darn good racers and there’s not that many places that they get that much exposure. They don’t get to race as much as I’d like to see them race.”

Anderson originally worked and then partially owned Doug Headers. When that company shut down, Anderson decided to go into business for himself. What started out as a project in his own garage has escalated into one of the most well-known and most successful enterprises in the industry, much of which can be attributed to Anderson’s own work ethic, dedication and innovation.

“We work on stuff all the time. I never quit. I’m getting old, but I come in here and beat on them and keep them working on stuff,” he laughed. “I give them ideas and try to make them follow them. I come in, yell, and leave.”
