VP’S JIM KELLY TO RETIRE FROM RACING FUELS

Long Time Employee Pursuing First Passion

SAN ANTONIO, TX -VP Racing Fuels today announced that Regional Manager Jim Kelly will retire from the VP Racing Fuelscompany effective May 31, 2015. Kelly has been a dedicated employee of VP Racing Fuels since 1986, after spending many years as a motorsports writer/photographer and columnist.

“Motorsports and business development have been passions of mine for many years. Working at VP for almost 30 years has given me the opportunity to do what I love and at the same time to contribute to the significant growth and success of VP not just in the Northeast but also in Europe. My first passion, after my wife and children, though, has always been creative writing. I’ve been doing it since I was in grade school when I was first published. I’ve just finished my first book, a work of fiction that has nothing to do with racing, and this transition from working full time at VP will allow me to fully devote my efforts to its promotion and to further pursue other opportunities in motorsports.”

Kelly will continue with VP as an independent consultant through the summer, helping with the management transition at the Delaware office and working race events, including providing on-site race fuel service and technical support during the Silverstone Classic in England in July.

“Jim’s actually been a part of VP dating back to 1978 when he drove from San Antonio to Pomona to get Warren Johnson the fuel he needed for the Winternationals – and it snowed!” said Steve Burns, Founder and Head of R&D at VP. “Alan Cerwick and I appreciate his many years of dedicated service, his exceptional talents and strategic thinking and wish Jim the best with the book, his family and his future”.
