No major changes planned for Mike Everitt in upcoming drag race season
Everitt Racing Top Dragster team hoping for another good showing in Quick 32 Sportsman Series
STRATFORD, ON – Now entering his fourth season of Quick 32 Sportsman Series drag racing, Mike Everitt has taken to racing his Top Dragster and is hoping to better his third-place points finish of 2014.
But the Stratford Ontario driver of the Everitt Racing Team said they plan on leaving the car fundamentally as last year.
We’re not doing a great deal with the car, he noted. Basically this year will be to get the nitrous sorted out and drive it.
The Top Dragster is a Spitzer Enterprises car with a 632-cubic inch for power complete with Dart Big Chief oval heads courtesy of Race Flow Development. Fuel is provided by nitrous-assisted carburetion, and a Hutch’s Transmission two-speed sits behind the engine. The car is capable of mid six-second passes on the quarter-mile at speeds of 200 mph. The team placed third in points in 2014, capped off with a series win during the Labor Day meet at the Grand Bend Motorplex.
The car, owned by Sheila Everitt, is crew-chiefed by Ken Everitt, with Jeff Shiell, Dean Wilson, Frank Wilson, Bob Robinson, Caitlyn Ross and Tyler Kawalez assisting.
The team is sponsored by Morrison/Everitt Ltd. and Wilson Salvage.
