The Quick 32 Sportsman Series Countdown to the 2014 Championship

The Top Dragster of Everitt Racing – Third Place

CAYUGA, ON – Driving the Everitt Racing Top Dragster entry, Mike Everitt had a good showing in the 2014 Quick 32 Sportsman Series, placing third in Championship Point Award Series.

This year was the six of competition for the drag race series, presented by NAPA Auto Parts.

Everitt qualified for all events entered in a car that was capable of mid six-second times at speeds of just over 200 mph in the quarter-mile.

In his first events the Stratford, Ontario racer was a quarter-finalist, but came on strong during the last two events at the Grand Bend Motorplex.

In the Stratford Spectacular Hot August Nationals, he went rounds, losing in the semi-final to eventual winner Erin Staley of Kalamazoo Michigan. For the final race, Everitt marched through the ladder to meet up with and beat Sam Christian of Amherst, New York in the Top Dragster final, and then took the event final over series champion Jon Schmid of Buffalo New York with his Top Sportsman entry.

The Spitzer Enterprises dragster is powered by a 632-cubic inch Dart Big Chief engine with Race Flow Development help and a Switzed Dynamics nitrous system. Sitting behind the engine is a Hutch’s Transmission Service transmission.

Ken Everitt is crew chief on the car, owned by Shelia Everitt, with team help from Dean Wilson, Frank Wilson, Bob Robinson and Tyler Kawalez.

Everitt will be honored at the upcoming “Night of Champions” Championship Point Award Series Banquet for the Pro Modified Racing Association (PMRA), the Quick 32 Sportsman Series and the Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS) will be held at the Burlington Hotel & Conference Centre in Burlington, Ontario on Saturday, November 8, 2014.

The Pro Modified Racing Association (PMRA), www.PMRA.ca enters its 11th season of popular Pro Modified racing in 2015, while the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, presented by NAPA Auto Parts, www.Quick32.ca
will begin its seventh season, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS) presented by Wiseco Performance Products, www.PBSS.ca begins its fifth year of operation. Several times during the race season all three series compete at the same weekend events, offering a colourful, diverse, and exciting package of drag racing action.
