Ready to steal the show, Arana heads to Dallas confident

DALLAs, TX – Even though the Pep Boys NHRA Carolina Nationals in Charlotte were postponed until this weekend’s AAA Texas NHRA Adam Arana - EppingFallNationals, Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Adam Arana welcomes the challenge of running two full races at Texas Motorplex.

While he was ready to line up his ProtectTheHarvest.com/MAVTV Buell against Chaz Kennedy in the first round of eliminations in Charlotte, the youngest Arana thinks that the makeup rounds in Dallas might fit his riding style even better.

“It’s not going to be any different having two races in one weekend really,” Arana said. “If anything, I think the Charlotte races running during qualifying may be a little easier mentally because it won’t have the same atmosphere.

“I mean, yeah, it is racing and we are going for a win, but with that being said, it is set up like a qualifying session. I think it will be a little easier for everyone mentally. At least it will be easier for me, but that means it could be easier for my opponents. As long as I’m staying calm and relaxed, that’s what is important.”

Even though Arana thinks he will be prepared mentally for the schedule modification this weekend, nothing can overcome the lack of track time all of the teams will experience to fine-tune their bike setups.

“The bike was running pretty good in Charlotte,” Arana said. “I’m hoping that we will get at least one qualifying session in before they start counting for eliminations; that way we see where the bike is going to be at and we can get a good basic setup for the track. There’s not really much else we can do besides go out there and try to have as much fun as we can.”

A schedule for this weekend’s AAA Texas NHRA FallNationals will be released later this week.
