No major changes planned for Ted Glinny and his Ninja Pro Bike

MILTON, ON – When Ted Glinny returns to the track this season to compete in the Pro Bike & Sled Series, the Pro Bike rider said Ted Glinnythere will be a few changes with his Kawasaki, but mostly the bike will be the same.

There will be a couple of small changes, noted Glinny, who hails from Milton, Ontario and placed second in the Championship Point Award Series in 2013, which is presented by Wiseco Performance Products.

There will a few tweaks here and there, he continued. I have put in a slider clutch and taken some weight out of the bike.

Glinny is no stranger to drag racing motorcycles, a sport he has enjoyed for over three decades. He has been successful in the PBSS, co-winning the 2012 championship, and taking a close second spot last season. During the six PBSS events in 2013, he always qualified within the top half of the field, and although he had a couple of first-round eliminations, he won three events.

His Kawasaki Ninja is powered by a 1425-cc Kawasaki engine with a Lectrons fuel system coupled to a GPZ one-two automatic gearbox, all sitting within a Fast by Gast chassis. He can propel the Ninja down the quarter mile in about 8.5 seconds at 150-155 mph.

Helping Glinny in his efforts is Harry Manovich, who acts as crew chief for the Glinnja Racing Team, along with Jay and Nichole Glinny, and Marty Kuiack.

Glinny said he and the Ninja are ready for racing.

We are all set for this year, he said. I would like to race more, he added. I would like to be out every weekend.

Glinny and his team will be ready for the PBSS opener May 16-18, the RPM Magazine / Lucas Oil Spring Blowout at the Grand Bend Motorplex.

The 2014 season for all three series opens May 16-18 at the Grand Bend Motorplex with the running of the RPM Magazine / Lucas Oil MAYHEM at the BEND Presented By Mickey Thompson Tires.

The Pro Modified Racing Association (PMRA), www.PMRA.ca enters its 10th season of popular Pro Modified racing this year, while the Quick 32 Sportsman Series, presented by NAPA Auto Parts, www.Quick32.ca will begin its sixth season, and the Pro Bike & Sled Series (PBSS) presented by Wiseco Performance Products, www.PBSS.ca begins its fourth year of operation. Several times during the race season all three series compete at the same weekend events, offering a colourful, diverse, and exciting package of drag racing action.
