“Changing over to the big leagues is not going to be an easy task for any Independent Team, especially a new team” notes Matter.  “We are going to have to have Marketing Partners and solid relationships just to get started in this endeavor.    To have Ellison Insulation coming on board with us is the start of a new beginning.   We are excited to join our friends back within The NHRA’s Camping World Series, and Chris has committed to helping us cross over my license.

We have no idea how many passes this will require, but we are taking our time, gathering the essential parts necessary to accomplish this and rolling the dice without sparing expense, especially in Safety.   These cars have a mind of their own and run on a fine line of go / no go. For Chris to come on board for this task is huge and we can’t thank him enough for the opportunity.”

DALLAS, TX —  With an ongoing array of new companies joining The American Valor – Chris Kyle Legacy Nostalgia Nitro Funny Car, also known as The Guardian, Nancy Matter Racing is proud to announce their newest addition  of partnerships with Autolite Spark Plugs for the 2021 Racing Season.

The Autolite® story began in 1911 when two small companies started producing buggy lamps, becoming a thriving automotive parts manufacturer by the 1930s. But its history as a spark plug manufacturer began in 1936, celebrating its 85th anniversary this year, when Royce G. Martin, President of the Electric Autolite Company, equipped and staffed a lab to develop the first Autolite spark plug. Leading the project was Robert Twells, a ceramic engineer, who eagerly researched current patents and ceramic insulator technology. With a handful of new draftsman and staff members, it only took a few months before the Electric Autolite Company had a spark plug available for distribution. Autolite had instant success, as the brand supplied spark plugs and other ignition parts to well-known automotive leaders including Chrysler, Studebaker, Packard and Willys.

DALLAS, TX — As the 2021 Racing Season is about to kick off, Nancy Matter Racing has been behind the scenes preparing for her team’s charity efforts for American Valor Foundation (Formerly Guardians For Heroes) and her own endeavor, Racer’s Igniting Hope.

Matter, whose team has raised extensive awareness and donations to Guardian For Heroes, now American Valor Foundation, since 2015, is always looking to do more.  The main criteria was to blend the world of racing, creativity and charity efforts for expansion to more families.  Matter ultimately came up with repurposing used racing spark plugs into color coded key chains with and without bling on them and named her new effort, Racer’s Igniting Hope.

Once the word got out, Racer’s and Spark Plug Manufacturer’s donated their used and new spark plugs from all over the United States.   Team’s from NHRA, Lucas Oil Series, PDRA, Outlaw Fuel Altereds, Funny Car Chaos, Pro Mods, Sportsman, No prep, Motorcycles, even from some private air planes.

DALLAS, TX — At the conclusion of every race season, obviously, there is very little rest behind the scenes in preparation for the following year.  Teams go into high gear with off track preparation, replenishing inventories, cleaning, changing combinations, and more.   These events of course go on during the year as well, but grows exponentially in the off season.   One of the key ingredients of this list is building and maintaining relationships within the Marketing portion of the Racing Business.

After 2 years since converting from the NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car Ranks to a Nitro Funny Car, the Team of Nancy Matter is excited to announce they will be competing at  multiple quarter mile events this coming September, 2019.

The first event of the two is with the United Nitro Funny Car Association during the Southwest Nitro Shootout in Tucson, Arizona September 6th and 7th.  The follow up event will be a short two weeks later during the National Hot Rod Association’s Heritage Race at Osage Casino Raceway Park in Tulsa, Oklahoma, September 20th and 21st.

Matter’s Team is led by her life long friend and Legendary Hall of Fame Drag Racer, Dale Pulde.

“We have been testing for the last 14 months at a variety of tracks throughout the midwest” states Matter, “we were already planning on going to Tulsa for the Heritage Race when Dale (Pulde) spoke with Bucky (Austin) about the possibility of another Race in Tucson with the UNFC.  It was an easy decision for us when the race was confirmed.’

DALLAS — After a brief celebration of their first win at Funny Car Chaos, April 27, 2019 at Mokan Dragway, knowing the real work has just begun, the Guardian For Heroes Nitro Funny Car Team of Nancy Matter, led by Legendary life long friend,  Dale Pulde, is honored to announce their new partnerships with Glen Sander Engineering, SSI and System One Oil Filtration Systems.

There is no question that facilitating and driving a nitro funny car, for Matter, is a life long dream come true.  Matter competed within the NHRA and Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series in Top Alcohol Funny Car for more than 10 years, crediting Lou and Vicki Gasparrelli for allowing her as a kid to help around their Top Alcohol Funny Car for several years in Southern California.

Madison IL – In all forms of racing, it’s common knowledge to expect the unexpected, on and off the track. One of the most unexpected off track events of the 2016 drag racing season is the inclusion of NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster and Funny Cars in the newly resurrected American Drag Racing League Series. The Alcohol classes are one of 5 Professional Classes that the ADRL is offering as an alternative racing platform, not a replacement platform to the existing format available.

The Guardian for Heroes Foundation – Chris Kyle and Chad Littlefield Legacy Funny Car team piloted by Nancy Matter is taking on this new opportunity in St Louis for the Inaugural American Drag Racing League Series set to debut on November 4 and 5th, 2016 at Gateway Motorsports Park named Dragstock XI.

“We are extremely excited and grateful for this opportunity that Larry Jeffers and Kenny Nowling have put together. Their team has spent hundreds of hours restructuring and rebuilding this series” noted Matter. “With the PDRA having an additional platform for the NHRA J&A Pro Mod Series, now the Alcohol Class has an alternative racing platform as well.”
