With Strong Start To 2013 Season, Lethal Threat Racing Adds Champion Lifts and Williams Performance As Sponsors
MUSTANG, OK – The Lethal Threat Racing team of Pro X-treme standouts Todd Martin and Brandon Pesz are off to a fine start in the 
2013 X-treme Drag Racing League (X-DRL) season, as Pesz is first in points through three races while Martin is just three points behind in second.
That success has carried over off the track as well, as the Lethal Threat racing team is pleased to announce new sponsorship deals with Champion Lifts and Williams Performance.
The two-car Pro X-treme team started the 2013 campaign by announcing associate sponsorships with LAT Racing Oils, Kryptonite Kustomz and Trick Titanium, and both Martin and Pesz’s success on the track has yielded more opportunities.
AUTO CLUB’S HIGHT RUNNER-UP AT KANSAS NATIONALS
TOPEKA, KS – For the third time in four years Robert Hight and the Auto Club Ford Mustang team were running for the money on 
Sunday afternoon at the NHRA Kansas Nationals. Facing veteran Johnny Gray and his Pitch Energy Dodge Charger in the final round Hight had lane choice but for the first time in four final round meetings Gray took the win. Gray posted a solid 4.067 second pass as Hight’s Mustang smoked the tires for the first time this weekend.
“I really believed we were going to get this one today. Not to take anything away from Johnny Gray. If this thing would have made a run like it had been all day we would have given Johnny a better race,” said Hight, the 2010 and 2011 Kansas Nationals winner. “It is hard to explain why we do well here. I don’t really know why. We have had some team members through the years that have been from this part of the country. This is just a great race track. (Crew chief) Jimmy Prock has won here in Top Fuel and Funny Car.”
Gray, Wendland put Pitch Energy in first place; Schumacher takes Army to fifth championship round in ’13
TOPEKA, KS – Johnny Gray moved into sole possession of first place in the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series for the first time in his 
career Sunday after winning for the second consecutive weekend.
Gray, 60, with crew chief Rob Wendland, a Lawrence, Kan. native, and assistant Rip Reynolds won for the third time in eight Mello Yello events when the Pitch Energy Dodge Charger R/T produced four runs in the elimination rounds at Heartland Park Topeka that included the last three that ranged 4.047 to 4.067 seconds.
It almost was the fifth time that Don Schumacher Racing left an event this year with both titles in NHRA’s premier categories, but Tony Schumacher and the U.S. Army team was stopped by Al-Anabi Racing’s Shawn Langdon for the Top Fuel title 3.750 to 3.781.
MJJ Racing Returns to Defend Modified Championship in 2013
CAYUGA, ON – Jarrod Kolne and the MJJ Racing Team will be returning to the DSE Automotive Sportsman Racing Series with the help 
of some new sponsors and a upgraded Moser Engineering Read End, in an attempt to defend their 2012 Modified Eliminator Championship.
Joining MJJ Racing this season is Tim Orser Residential Lift Services, who provide consulting, installing and repair services for various types of stairs, decks, and residential elevators.
Also joining MJJ Racing is Mike O Automotive in the Niagara Region and returning for their 6th season RJ’s Service & Performance in Hamilton.
With the new sponsorship, MJJ Racing’s schedule for 2013 will include all twelve DSE Sportsman Racing Series events, the entire Ontario Street Car Association (OSCA), and a few select other specialty events during the course of the season.
