2nd EXTREME EVENT READY TO ROCK IN JULY!

Brandford, ON – Included as one of the well known RPM Magazine/Lucas Oil Extreme Events, presented by Mickey Thompson, the 5th annual 10” Wide Racing Extreme Street Machine Shootout Cruise & Match Race is scheduled for July 19th and 20th, 2013.

The two-day spectacular will feature some of the baddest REAL street cars in the country! The event has garnered attention worldwide, with spectators coming from across the United States, Canada and even from RPM Junepress release 2013overseas to witness the “Show & Go” action in person.

“This year we’re planning on taking it to capacity yet again and having over sixty 6, 7 and 8 second street cars filling the parking lot at the legendary Gus’s Drive-In located in East Troy, Wisconsin on Friday night!” Exclaims event front man Brian Hansen, who also happens to be RPM Magazine’s Director Of Advertising and the creator of 10” Wide Racing Videos.

“Brian is a huge asset to RPM,” adds RPM Editor In Chief Chris Biro. “And this event, well, when we first saw it for ourselves we knew that we needed to add our Extreme Event support into the mix. You need to come see for yourself, you won’t believe it! It is like going back in time with the quantity and quality of machines in the house at both the cruise and race portions of the event… only the cars are badder than ever, the best of the best! And the bench racing is second to none!

Brian is dead set on keeping this event ‘real’, controlling its growth by pre-qualifying each of the hundreds of entries down to the elite seventy that make the final cut. He wants it to be about the sport of high performance street machines and insane street car drag racing, where you show off what you got at the local hangout, then put up or shut up on the strip!”

After the show at Gus’s, as in past years, participants will head to Great Lakes Dragaway the following day (Saturday July 20th) for the real deal, a Street Car Shootout, just like back in the day. This “invite only” run-what-you-brung event is one of the BEST ¼ mile drag races of the year and will include all makes and models of street cars from all over the United States. The track will be set on kill and records will fall so mark your calendar to be there!
