16th Annual NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem
NMCA Kicks Off 2018 in Bradenton Florida!
The NMCA begins its 31st season March 8-11 as racers across the country say goodbye to the winter blues, fill their 
tow vehicles with fuel, load the fridge, and head to Bradenton Motorsports Park for the 16th Annual NMCA Muscle Car Mayhem.
This season-opening race for the NMCA Muscle Car Nationals presented by E3 Spark Plugs never fails to raise the adrenaline of fans and racers alike as Bradenton’s excellent racing surface and engine-friendly air combine to give racers and fans one of the best venues to race on in the country.
From a packed field of VP Racing Fuels Xtreme Pro Mods to the outrageous rides in the Mickey Thompson Radial Wars class, to five other “small-tire” classes, spectators will surely get their fill of both eighth and quarter-mile action!
The Mickey Thompson Radial Wars class features some of the top names and cars in small tire racing, all gunning for glory, these huge horsepower beasts clip the eighth-mile in under four seconds at speeds regularly eclipsing 200 mph!
The small tire excitement doesn’t end there as classes such as Vortech Superchargers Street Outlaw and Edelbrock Xtreme Street, which was re-tooled midway though last season, tear up the track with heads up and wheels up high horsepower excitement.
Add to the mix the contrast between the classic muscle cars from the golden-era of Detroit pride through the Nostalgia Super Stock and Nostalgia Muscle Car classes, and the new muscle car era on display in the Holley EFI Factory Super Cars class and you will witness the evolution of drag racing at one track, in one weekend.
From 12-second Plymouth Furys to 3-second Pro Mods, it will all culminate with victory celebrations in the Aerospace Components Winners’ Circle Sunday afternoon, for those lucky enough to take home their first “Victor” award of the year.
