This is the finally update for the Martin ADRL event.

The Hines team out of Macon Georgia, would find the missing piece to their performance puzzle.  After not making the show in Memphis, they would qualify #3 in Extreme Pro Motorcycle with a great 4.242.

Ashley Owen would have a great weekend resetting the XPM record twice!  Initially he would make a 4.207 and then back it up with a 4.24.  He wasn't done, in round 1 of qualifying he would stun the crowd at US 131 with an unbelievable 4.180 blast!

Charlie Profit would return to championship form and qualify 3rd behind Hines.  Unfortunately he'd have to shutoff early in his first round race against TT Jones.

Extreme 10.5 would see equally astounding performance from 2 of it's biggest stars.

Team Pappas had been struggling of late after a great first outing with the Pontiac GXP at the Valdosta race.  After 2 terrible passes on Friday in testing, the crew would go back to the basics for round 2 qualifying and run a great 4.055.  There is certainly more in the car since the 60' times was very soft at a 1.05.

As good as Pappas' run was, it wasn't the highlight of the 10.5 laps this weekend.  Todd Moyer would lay down the gauntlet with a 4.049.  Everybody knew the car was on a pass when the front wheels didn't touch down until nearly 200 feet out!  The team has obviously recovered from the crash after the Houston race and has started to figure out what the new car likes.

BTW...we like the flames Todd!

Tony Bischoff's transition to Extreme 10.5 has been frustrating to say the least.  After reseting the suspension late Friday night, the team would have to make further adjustments to get the car down the track and stop the wild wheel stands.  Even though they lost in the first round, the car is showing promise.  It ran a great side by side 4.19 run with Jack Carlton's 02 Grand AM.

Nick Scavo was a last minute show in the FastTimes 3rd generation Camaro of Jeff D'Agostino's.  This car was formerly owned by one of the Rislone Mustang XPS crew members, Chuck Samuels.  His 4.752 would leave him as the #1 alternate.

You have to love the camaraderie of the ADRL.  Cathy Belcher came to Martin to test more than anything with her 90 Camaro.  While the team knew it's chances of qualifying were slim, they did not count on hurting the motor during testing. The team broke a valve which in turn put a hole in the #5 piston.  With no spare parts, they decided to head home.  That was until Bubba Stanton stepped in with the parts to fix the Belcher mount and aide with a little tune-up help.  Not only was this reporter surprised to see the motor back together Saturday morning, the team would end up being the #1 alternate with a a career best of 4.041!

Tom "Slick" Myers would make a great mid pack qualifying run as a return from his Memphis fire.  Unfortunately they would experience a nitrous explosions at the 330 mark in round 1.  This is nothing in comparison to the severity of the fire, so I'm certain the team will be in Topeka for the next installment of the ADRL road show.

Mike Moran would pull in Saturday morning to make a shot at qualifying for the Pro Extreme class.  His 4.764 would leave him as the 5th alternate.

Travis Swearingen's team Blue National Guard 41 Willis would experience sever tire shake in the first round.  It would cause both rear tires to be cut and go flat, plus break a large piece out of the front end.  Additionally the wheelie bar would also be damaged.  The team will put the car on the chassis jig before it sees the track again!

Our last entry of the weekend goes to Al-Annabi team member Burton Auxier.

Another nitrous explosion would claim another of the Pro Nitrous teams in round 1.  We missed the biggest part of the boom, however, it's still obvious the explosion was big with fire inside the car and the hood scope barely hanging on.

This deal is off the hook!  Check out the gallery here.

I'll be updating later this evening when we can get caught up...thanks for your patience!  Ladders courtesy of ADRL.us

Stan Allen had a huge nitrous explosion right before the traps.  He did win the race!  We are uncertain if he will make the next round.

We're in a rain delay, so I'm trying to catch up a little.  I'm going to edit a few pictures and should have them up soon.
