Title: ROUND 2
Post by: Joanne Walter on August 23, 2009, 09:00:30 PM
Legion of Doom’s Ronnie Procopio got a lesson from Paul Gast in round 2 that on the tree and on the track this ol’ timer has no senior moments. For both men the game was on, but tonight the old man emerged.

Meanwhile Ashley Owens had to fight for his life as Mantez Thompson brought it, then lost it in round 2…but not before Ashley earned lane choice against Paul Gast in the Semis.

Travis Davis took on Lance Hines in a Middle Georgia match up, but lost it at the holeshot earning Lance another round closer to the Minute Man

and Monte Campbell encountered issues as the bike lunged for the center line causing him to lift  in his face-off with Scott Gray

Lance Hines could not keep his bike fired and exited the start line to the disappointment of fans and teammates. But Scott Gray ran a lightning 4.281 despite the empty lane, delighting the swollen grandstands.

and Paul Gast ran down Ashley Owens with a 4.283 to Ashley’s 4.318 in a narrow photo finish

Our finalists…
Paul [Fast by] Gast…

and Timblin’s Scott [Bionic Tonic] Gray…
 (http://dragstory.com/photo/albums/ADRL-Columbus/Bikes/dsc0Final2.JPG)

meet in a potentially earth-turning match up and, despite Scott’s -.003 red light start, they did turn the earth in a simultaneous 4.310 and 4.305 thunder that showed the state of Ohio just what ADRL’s Extreme Pro-Motorcycle is made of.

Congrats to Paul Gast on his first Minute Man and a job well done!
